it's precisely why the 4,5,2,3,6 order works.

4 and 5 get you started in theatrical release order. episode 5 ends with a cliffhanger. it's the ideal time to switch chronologies and watch 2 and 3, then going back to 6.

episode 1 adds literally nothing to the overarching narrative. nearly all of the characters in episode 1 die or are irrelevant in the remaining episodes. for those that do appear in the other episodes, what happens in episode 1 does nothing to provide useful context or color.

Just watch Rogue One, it's the best star wars movie.

If you have to watch them all, make sure to just fast forward through any scenes with ewoks. They are the worst part of the entire saga.
