The first episode is out now. The show is produced by Michael Bay, so imagine Michael Bay producing Pirates of the Caribbean and mix it with Spartacus and that's this show. It's entertaining, I'll continue to watch.

The final season of Spartacus was amazing and well worth watching. I loved Andy in the role but the show itself was better.

all square sails other than the courses are fastened to yard arms (using sheets, of course). tacks don't pull clews out to the ocean, and tacks don't come into play when you're sailing large (teehee)

I think it is interesting, that of the picture that was posted above of the CGI ship, that no one noticed (or pointed out) that the banners at the top of the masts are blowing the wrong way. They should be downwind, not upwind.

It is very normal to see old paintings with the billowed out sails where the artist got it wrong. Looks like the CGI guys need some help.

On the show... I just personally don't care for pointless nudity and sex. If it makes sense as part of the storyline, fine. But ALL the Starz shows that I have started watching, there is pointless nudity and sex just 'thrown in' to appeal to a certain viewer. It isn't me, so I stopped watching after the third episode.

I really think they ripped a lot of their content off of AC: Black Flag right down to shit that the crew members shout "ITS A MAN O WAR CAPT'N!" and referencing "once they see the black flag..."
