12/13/2013 10:56:18 PM
Olive Garden is literally the best i've had... all you can eat salad which is awesome and the breadsticks are phenomenal. And you don't have to worry about undercooked pasta.
12/13/2013 10:58:29 PM
Carrabbas has authentic Tuscon cuisine without all the headache of flying to Italy.
12/13/2013 11:05:26 PM
We ate at Mia Francesca's tonight. Super good.
12/13/2013 11:09:00 PM

None in Raleigh, but Maggianos in Durham is world class. Its a small authentic place with a real family feel, definitely one of a kind.
12/14/2013 11:40:36 AM
For a chain restaurant..Maggianos is great!
12/14/2013 12:25:33 PM
Have you been there? I'm pretty sure its not a chain, I think the owner's family name is Maggiano.
12/14/2013 12:29:20 PM
It's a chainhttp://www.maggianos.com/en/Pages/Home.aspxOwned by the same people that own Chili's [Edited on December 14, 2013 at 12:31 PM. Reason : t]
12/14/2013 12:30:58 PM
The one at SouthPoint? I'm pretty sure you're wrong, its a small authentic family place.
12/14/2013 12:33:11 PM
http://locations.maggianos.com/?q=27713It's good stuff, I like it. It's a chain. I have a gift card, and the card says, good at Chili's, South of the Border, Maccroni Grill, and Maggiano's Little Italy.
12/14/2013 12:35:45 PM
there's this place out in Cary called Romano's, great little local joint, they serve the best grilled macaroni
12/14/2013 12:43:20 PM

12/14/2013 1:13:44 PM
sad how such a big city doesn't really have any real italian restarants. all of the "italian" restaurants are Italian-american.
12/14/2013 1:24:21 PM
i liked 518 West the few times I've eaten there
12/14/2013 1:44:32 PM
Bella Monica is good, and I also enjoy Caffe Luna
12/14/2013 1:48:06 PM
Bella Monica is my go-to, but i rarely go out for Italian
12/14/2013 2:30:51 PM
^Same. I'll get Caribbean, Thai, Korean, etc. way beforeI consider Italian.
12/14/2013 2:46:36 PM
casa san carlos by kohls in north raleigh is pretty good, the ex husband of the lady that used to run casalinga.
12/14/2013 2:53:01 PM
Amedeos is really wonderful and incredibly cheap! Such a good value
12/14/2013 2:58:26 PM
"Gravy" is up there. Locally-sourced and organic ingredients. Get the risotto cakes. They're one of the best things I've ever eaten.
12/14/2013 3:00:01 PM
I don't want Italians touching my food.
12/14/2013 3:10:26 PM
They all have Mexicans cooking.
12/14/2013 3:13:23 PM

Tortelli Crostacci - Fresh Pasta Stuffed with Lobster, Crabmeat and Prawns Sauté in Creamthis stuff is wonderful. pretty much everything I've had there has been great.

If you're looking for Ethiopian, I hear Abyssinia in Mission Valley is good.
12/14/2013 11:27:44 PM
I know that's a running joke in these threads but I don't know how that place stays in business. Went their on a drunken whim with friends and it was like puke on a sour pancake. Took forever and was basically inedible.
12/14/2013 11:36:51 PM
Caffe Luna is certainly not the answer.
12/15/2013 12:34:38 AM
