12/11/2013 1:10:42 PM
Wikipedia says 1991Wendy's also used to have a buffet called a SuperBar. http://www.one-quest.com/blog/whatever-happened-to-the-wendys-superbar/
12/11/2013 1:13:28 PM
^i remember that, it wasn't too long ago (or i'm just old)
12/11/2013 1:14:23 PM
I think it got phased out in the early 90s.
12/11/2013 1:16:22 PM
What's a pi33a?And I want to know what so revolutionary about their ovens. Were they from Venezuela?
12/11/2013 1:17:30 PM
macdonalds delivers here in shanghai. and they have pork nuggets. also no hot mustard MOTHERFUCKERS DONT HAVEI NG HOT MUSTARD
12/11/2013 1:31:13 PM
Wendy's still had the salad/taco bar thing when I had a drivers license, because I used to go there with my friends after church every week and I was the one driving. (I never got the salad/taco bar personally because I thought it was sketchy, but it was there)
12/11/2013 1:32:04 PM
The Wendy's bar also had butterscotch pudding.
12/11/2013 1:33:58 PM
I remember both; the SuperBar was dank, but the McPizza was as bad as you probably imagine it being. also back in the early 90s, the KFC in Greensboro had a buffet, and the one in Asheboro sold liver & gizzard meals (which my grandfather loved )
12/11/2013 3:41:49 PM
i remember when KFC delivered
12/11/2013 3:44:56 PM
I bet BigMan157 is the reason Wendy's got rid of the SuperBar
12/11/2013 3:54:24 PM
I went to "the worlds biggest mcdonalds" in Orlando back in 98 and they had pizza.
12/11/2013 4:01:13 PM
We used to get buckets of fried chicken from Hardees.Interesting, from Wikipedia:
12/11/2013 4:07:56 PM
Taco Bell fries, Hardees roast beef sandwiches, Burger King tacos
12/11/2013 4:30:21 PM
hardees roast beef sandwiches were good
12/11/2013 4:33:55 PM
so was their fried chicken, iirc
12/11/2013 4:34:32 PM
when i was a kid and we went to hardees, i pretty much always got a hot dog and peach cobbler.damn that was some good peach cobbler.
12/11/2013 4:43:07 PM
I remember when KFC had a buffetI think it was the late '90s
12/11/2013 4:53:19 PM
Revolutionary Oven = Microwave
12/11/2013 4:54:52 PM
^^KFC Buffet still existed on Duraleigh Rd for a while. Def used to go there a lot
12/11/2013 5:14:18 PM
this might be an urban legend...but I heard the reason this venture failed was that the pizza-boxes wouldn't fit through the drive-through window. So the cashiers had to tilt them, and all the pizza would slide to one side of the box and get messy and destroyed.]
12/11/2013 5:23:50 PM
I loved the Chocolate Pudding at Wendys as a kid. I hated it because it didn't have a burger fries which is what I really wanted.KFC bar was still going on in the 2007 time. They need wedges on that thing.
12/11/2013 6:09:09 PM
I remember when Cook Out had a champagne room.
12/11/2013 7:14:59 PM
12/11/2013 7:20:15 PM
12/11/2013 7:48:29 PM
there are a lot of hardees locations that still sell chicken. not rare at all, really.
12/11/2013 7:52:34 PM
KFC in Clinton still has the buffet. Including gizzards and livers on the buffet. Never had Hardee's fried chicken but I know the local one here has it. Can you order like a 2 piece meal, or you have to get a whole bucket?
12/11/2013 7:55:14 PM
you can get a 2 piece or 3 piece, iirc
12/11/2013 7:56:18 PM
12/11/2013 7:57:47 PM
^4 none of the ones in Raleigh seem to.I saw something awhile back that said all Hardee's that had been Skat Thru's still sell chicken, but I dont know how accurate that is.
12/11/2013 8:05:01 PM
Bojangles used to have nuggets
12/11/2013 8:17:09 PM
Dude. Chicken at hardees is baller.
12/11/2013 9:22:45 PM
12/11/2013 9:24:29 PM
Nah their nuggets aren't that good. Mickey Dee's chicken nuggets are where it's at. But I'm glad you reminded me of nuggets.
12/11/2013 9:25:58 PM
There used to be Roy Rogers restaurants in the southeast too, or at least in Greensboro. There was one on W. Market near the intersection with Holden until around 1990. Hardee's burgers and fries were terrible before the Carl's Jr. buyout/merger, but some of the other stuff wasn't half bad.
12/11/2013 9:26:05 PM
Wilbur Hardee was the man, they published a story about him in Our State magazine.
12/11/2013 9:30:56 PM
Hardee's fried chicken and cobbler is where it's at
12/11/2013 9:39:39 PM
12/11/2013 10:40:39 PM
apparently, mcdonald's invented 1337sp34k
12/11/2013 11:20:56 PM
...what why would they do that
12/11/2013 11:24:22 PM
Oooh I really enjoyed getting tacos at the Wendy's Superbar. I don't remember the McDonald's pizza though.
12/11/2013 11:42:40 PM
our superbar always had lemon and chocolate puddingit was the shit
12/12/2013 12:46:49 AM
I remember the Wendy's SuperBar.On a related note, We stopped at a Bojangles in Florence SC back in 2001 that had a buffet. Awesome concept, but the food looked disgusting.[Edited on December 12, 2013 at 8:19 AM. Reason : a]
12/12/2013 8:18:56 AM
i believe there is still a KFC buffet on the way to Atlantic Beach..at least there was a year or two ago.
12/12/2013 9:44:10 AM
The one in James City did have it recently havent been there in a while so they might have stopped. The KFC in Washington still has a buffet
12/12/2013 12:11:23 PM
here's the menu from a McDonald's in Kochi, India I walked by this summer:[Edited on December 12, 2013 at 2:44 PM. Reason : .]
12/12/2013 2:44:04 PM
weird, McDonald's without hamburgers
12/12/2013 3:01:13 PM
the weird thing is that there are burger joints around, but i guess with McDonald's trying to replicate the same experience at every restaurant, they gotta cater to the common denominator
12/12/2013 3:09:56 PM
Wendy's bar was generally disgusting. There would always be some fucking salad dressing splattered in the pudding, or vice versa.I don't remember McDonald's pizza, but I do remember when Hardee's used to have a pizza pocket type thing. I seem to recall enjoying it, but that was in the early 90's.
