Where can I go to see some baller xmas lights? I want to find some houses that make you tune into a radio station and have all the lights animated. Anyone have any knowledge?

i don't want to know how much they spent. it periodically plays a different song and the lights are all multicolor led/programmed. wife and i stopped and recorded one of the "shows", i think it was around 3-3.5 minutes long for that one.

There is one in Spring Lake, NC on the Anderson Creek golf course (but of course you have to know someone to get in).

You tune into 98.9 and it is synchronized with the music. TONS to look at and is tastefully done! Love it.

Not sure about the Triangle, but if you're in the Triad area:

*There’s also a great walk-through display near Pilot Mountain. If you have kids, they will absolutely love this one: http://pilotmountainchristmas.com/

*There's another one in Alleghany County that’s synced up to music and worth checking out if you’re in the area: http://www.highcountrylights.com/

*There's also this house in Lewisville that re-creates scenes from a Christmas Story with this life-size figures. I've never seen anything like it. It's on Conrad Road close to the Yadkin River.

*The Sunset Hills neighborhood in Greensboro also put up tons of those little Christmas ball things in the trees. They’re basically balls of chicken wire with Christmas lights wrapped around them. Doesn’t sound too appealing, but when you put thousands of them in the trees, it actually looks pretty incredible. It doesn't have a website or anything, but it's the neighborhood near Friendly Center in between Market and Friendly Avenue. This pic doesn't do it justice, but at least gives you an idea of what it looks like.

There's a house near the intersection of Penny Rd and I think Huntingwood Dr. that usually wins the G105 Tacky Tinsel contest (if they still do it). It's got an insane amount of decorations and there will be some traffic around the area from people stopping to look at it.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! Penny Road Guy has the sheer benefit of living on a corner. Throwing up lights on a boat or a UFO or a firetruck does not exemplify any particular artistic or decorating prowess.

Christmas light season is here! Has anyone else seen the show on ABC "The Great Christmas Light Fight"? Well, my parents' house (shamelessly plugged above) was selected to compete! As far as I know, we're the only house competing in North Carolina! The episode we're in is on December 22nd, but you don't have to wait to see the incredible display. Just follow the easy directions on the website. Take your friends and family, and spread the word to tune into ABC on the 22nd.

Went to the lights in Clayton tonight. Pretty sweet! The website said you could park and walk down the driveway, but there was a girl with a neon green sign at the driveway that said no parking.

So we drove by slowly and left.

There is no parking beyond that sign. Had everything not been a muddy mess, you could have parked up the street and walked down and into the driveway. People were trying to park down in the cul du sac which prevented people from turning, so we had to institute the no parking beyond the house.

Thank you for coming out to see the lights. We are still super psyched about winning The Great Christmas Light Fight and being able to share that experience with so many people!
