Do you make them?

What criteria do you use when considering whether they will be "worth it"?

I don't know that I've ever made an in-app purchase, or felt compelled to make one; however, I have paid upfront for several apps.

I'm ashamed to say yes

I don't usually consider if things are "worth it"

I just do it

I made one or two, one was for a game that was free that I played a lot and you could get more stuff for like a dollar it two. Figured I played it enough for free to justify it. Can't believe people buy in app things for garbage like Simpsons tapped out, clash of the clans, candy crush, and the like.

Well, buying entertainment isn't a problem if you do it in moderation and consider your priorities.

People generally are willing to spend $7 to see a movie, which entertains for ~2 hours on average.

Spending $1 on a game that will give you similar enjoyment/entertainment for even 10 minutes isn't unreasonable at that rate.

I've not made any in-app purchases per se.
I played a free game and enjoyed it enough that I paid the $2.99 for the full version (Triple Town).

I then did $0.99 for another for the same reason (FTP, but paying unlocked the full game). Yes they are just phone apps, but I paid to play because I wanted to be entertained. There's no shame in that. We all pay for one form of entertainment or another at some point.

I got a new 5s and for the past week I got sucked into CSR racing. Probably spent $20 on coins for cars and upgrades.

I felt I was hitting the pipe... had that junkie itch.
