How is there not a thread for this yet? I love superstitious/occult/witchcraft shows so this is right up my alley. I thought the pilot last night was very solid. Quite likely I'll continue to watch.Anyone else catch it? A few things struck me as somewhat odd, but I don't want to reveal anything if people haven't seen it yet.

I did not watch. I know this show is all over my facebook and the local news here in New Bern, because there was some scenes shot over in Tryon Palace.

I watched it, thought it was great. For a pilot, they didnt beat around the bush a whole lot which was nice. The end of the episode with the mirror was creepy as fuck. Also, 2 pretty popular actors getting killed in the first episode was interesting.
9/17/2013 11:39:47 AM
watched it last night, thought it was good enough to watch more episodes.just hope they didn't blow their load in the pilot
9/17/2013 11:52:23 AM
This is a genre I hardly ever watch/find any interest in. However, I thought the pilot was pretty good and intriguing. I'll definitely be watching this season.
9/17/2013 1:58:49 PM
the blurry demon at the end was super freakywill continue to watch
9/17/2013 3:16:05 PM
I enjoyed it to the black sheriff is hot and crane seems like a great character
9/17/2013 9:13:34 PM
great pilot. mirror demon was nuts and i like the casting and cinematography. will continue to watch.
9/17/2013 10:30:28 PM
i don't think they did a very good job marketing this, there was plenty of ads, but they didn't really give any idea what the show was actually about. After watching, I was very pleasantly surprised, it went in a very different direction than what i thought it would, and actually gave itself somewhere to go, will definitely give it a shot.
9/17/2013 10:42:49 PM
I wasn't blown away by it, but I always liked this story. I'll stick around for a bit.
9/17/2013 10:48:53 PM
^^ I didn't bother watching for that reason.. I was like "ok, so a headless horseman.. How long can you milk that?" and figured it would be stupid
9/17/2013 11:21:12 PM
Other than the curiously racially diverse police force in a small town/county I really enjoyed this. I just hope it doesn't devolve into them hiding the head in a different place every week or two. I'm interested to see how this will be formatted for the long haul.
9/18/2013 8:49:26 AM
Small town of 110K. I think they will be fine, really enjoyed this show.
9/18/2013 9:02:10 AM
I decided to DVR this show and give it a couple of episodes(same thing I did for The Following)...and was pleasantly surprised. Will continue watching.***Slight Spoiler***Started watching, saw the old sheriff, immediately knew he was going to die very shortly, haha. Glad they went that way.***End Spoiler***

Ironic that The Kurgan was beheaded, or very clever casting on the part of the show?

9/18/2013 12:32:39 PM
i didn't watch, but isn't this supposed to take place in modern times?and the original sleepy hollow was in the 1820s?so the population has probably increased since then?

9/18/2013 1:12:32 PM
The sign said 144k? I thought it was 110k. Either way, if they want 144000 to have significance in the show then maybe they should film it somewhere else, instead of a tiny hamlet?
9/18/2013 1:57:11 PM
i must have been high, i could have sworn it was 110k
9/18/2013 2:18:11 PM
as an aside, i'm not a fan of the horseman using modern guns. (flintlocks are fine) the magic battle axe is more than sufficient and modern guns essentially turn him into a headless terminator in revolutionary war clothing.
9/18/2013 2:54:53 PM
I thought it was awesome
9/18/2013 3:13:12 PM
^^i think it is more to show that he is being controlled by someone in modern day Sleepy
9/18/2013 4:41:44 PM
Ok, i am all in on this one. as long as it keeps up it's balls to the walls pacing.
9/19/2013 8:38:47 AM
Just watched the first episode. I thought it was great. We'll definitely be watching again. I didn't really know what to expect but was surprised that it was taking place in modern/current times.
9/21/2013 10:09:25 PM
I lost it when the Headless Horseman pulled out an assault rifle
9/23/2013 9:02:30 AM
It was better than I was expecting, which was just about nothing. I do like how they have carved this out to be a tale of the coming apocalypse. Could salvage it with the religious story line.Thought it was funny that 'Brother Justin' from Carnivale was the sheriff. Would have been awesome to have him in another religious storyline.[Edited on September 23, 2013 at 1:13 PM. Reason : .]

meh second episodethe burned witch thing was kind of cool but they rushed it too muchzombie John Cho is kind of interestingwhen he ran at full speed into the mirror I was simultaneously laughing and horrified
9/24/2013 9:00:05 AM
yeah, that and his reawakening with the broken neck were i'm ok with them not showing the HH in the second episode. don't want to burn out what could be a great villain too early. i watched last night to help the Nielsen ratings
9/24/2013 9:08:53 AM
I like this show a lot.
10/3/2013 11:49:03 AM
it's silly, but i don't care[Edited on October 3, 2013 at 12:42 PM. Reason : still like it Ø]
10/3/2013 12:42:26 PM
This show is pretty great. This last episode was awesome. Funny, thrilling, even startled me a couple times. Just pure fun TV.[Edited on October 3, 2013 at 12:51 PM. Reason : :]

Just got picked up for a second season
10/3/2013 2:22:13 PM
nice
10/3/2013 2:46:08 PM
It doesn't take itself too seriously, but some of the monsters (especially the blurry demon) are legitimately freaky. And Ichabod Crane is surprisingly pretty funny.I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I do.
10/3/2013 2:48:33 PM
Solid third episode makes up for a meh 2nd episode. Sand man monster looks like something out of Guillermo Del Toro's mind.
10/3/2013 3:38:26 PM
Yeah the sand man was a quality monster for a TV show, along with the special effects. I hope to see more. I like how Ichabod easily adjusts to new/future things and doesn't freak out in a corny way. Except for spitting out the Redbull. I'm sure he's had fizzy cider before, so it's not that foreign.
10/3/2013 5:26:44 PM
10/3/2013 5:42:03 PM
^^ also I'm sure he's had beerbut I lolled at him throwing the gun down after one shot a couple weeks ago
10/4/2013 9:02:35 AM
The little diatribe they had about the tax rate on the donuts make me laugh. Especially when he started encouraging rebellion.
10/4/2013 9:13:35 AM
redbull tastes like piss, not cider.

they better not do what they hinted at in the next episode's preview.
10/15/2013 12:51:20 PM
The writing for that last episode just fell apart at the end.
10/15/2013 1:37:15 PM
They were filming at the Sherwood Hotel in Havelock the other night. I'm pretty sure that's a pay by the hour kind of place
