Ps3 media server is the media server application I use. Install it, set the target folders, save the profile. Boom. When you want to use it, start the server, and turn on your renderer (ps3, Xbox, bluray player, etc). Everything else is done from your device.Never mind, you want to watch an internet stream...[Edited on September 2, 2013 at 5:21 PM. Reason : .]

tablet via HDMI out, laptop or desktop with a DVI-HDMI cable.too bad you don't have a chromecast, this might be a great use for it.

Sorry I'm back, I'm hoping to stream wirelessly fRom my desktop to my wireless capable Blu-ray player. Twonky will let me browse media from my computer. I'd like to basically stream my desktop to my blu ray so it comes up on the tv. I also have a Xbox 360 if that helps]

I know Orbcast allows you to pick a selection of your desktop and turn it into a stream. It should do exactly what you want it to do with the right setup.
