http://www.mission14.org/Under Armor and sponsors are spending $5.6 million dollars for this guy to attempt to climb the 14 highest mountains in a year, for "charity". A portion of that will be used to hire 4000 sherpas who will fix ascent lines and drag his ass up each mountain. They pulled their hilarious mission statement video (in which he says God told him to do it), but this one where he unveils his mountaineering outfit in a fashion show is equally amazing.

^And one of the big taglines they're using is "this has never been done before!" By that he means climbing all 14 in one year, in the poorest fashion imaginable. Given the death rates of the 8kers, wonder how many Sherpas will end up as sacrificeshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eight-thousander

I'll give props to the guy if he can actually pull this off in one year (Sherpa help and with supplemental oxygen). Just looking at some of those pictures though, I'm like fuck that, I'd rather live.Clearly a money making and advertising stunt. No reason for them to wrap it up as a charity event.
