http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bwj2s_5e12UDo you think you will see this in 2019? What happens when operating systems and apps crash or unexpectedly reboot? Instead of just your Internet surfing being interrupted, all facets of your life will be affected. And I don't understand the obsession of making gadgets of the future transparent, such as phones, tablets, flash drives. Do they work better if they are transparent? It makes them to harder to locate if you misplace them and easier to lose as well.

Considering that I expected we would have hover boards by now....My opinion is that this depiction of the future is horribly inaccurate.

The video basically takes these technology positions: - displays will be cheap and light enough that we can cover everything in them - everything will have a computer and you will never be able to see the computersComputation will have an identity crisis by 2019, that's for sure. With products like the i7, we're basically at the end of the traditional kind of evolution. This is a primitive version of a computer in 4 years:32 cores, memory approaching 1 TB, a dozen SATA connections. Basically what was a small cluster a few years ago. With that many processors, you can't apply the same logic we used to. We really do have to start treating computers like we treat servers today. Speed won't increase, just the ability to fling more shit at the wall. This will be the impetus for optical computing and other attempts, which may or may not work.Microsoft's argument is basically that mrfrog won't want any more cores someday, and will just wear them on his clothes... or something like that. They are wrong. I will always want more cores, and I will put them in a box. Then there's displays. If displays are so cheap that airlines put them on tickets, then the companies that make the displays are almost surely out of business. I really wonder if this world has an economy at all. But it does look kind of communist. It looks like Equilibrium actually.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0238380/I also get the feeling that while they're playing with virtual doggies and balls, Africa and India are probably burning to the ground.I get it now. They confiscated any computers that can be rooted! That's why they're all suspiciously tightly connected to the net. Because you're not allowed to format computers. This was because we lost the Linux wars in 2016. All of the people are just a part of the machine. They're being designed with it.
