Background:My wife is in Australia for work. She is going to be there for a couple months. I spent two weeks in Australia about three years ago, and this is her first time. We like being physically active. We don't care about groups or other people, either way. Baby making will be happening on this trip. We are trying to plan a vacation for when she finishes her job up. This would be a one to two week trip. We are trying to keep it under $4k, with $3k being better. What we are currently considering, and in no order:1. I go to AUS, spend some time there while she finishes up, then we spend a week somewhere on their east coast. 2. We meet in New Zealand, and spend a week or so there. We know there are great views, but I know very little about this trip. Flights to here or AUS are about $2k. 3. Caribbean cruise. My wife and I have already done 4 seven day cruises together. We love them. At this point we have stopped at most of the islands. My parents have a place in FL, so we would visit them as well.4. Resort stay. Sandals, viceroy hotel, etc. we have never done this before. Neither of us are 'lay on the beach all day' people. Don't know if there is more to these places. I'll be doing my own research, but thoughts, opinions, and experiences are welcome. Places to look or links to places you have been or things you have done would be great.
