It's been a long time coming but finally the highly anticipated conclusion to the Cornetto Trilogy is upon us! Fans of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz may have already seen some stuff about this but the full trailer was just released. I'm looking forward to seeing Simon Pegg and Nick Frost back together.http://www.firstshowing.net/2013/hilarious-full-length-us-trailer-for-edgar-wrights-the-worlds-end/

5/29/2013 11:02:37 AM
^^You answered your own question.
5/29/2013 12:13:18 PM
^^^You need to fix that, pronto.
5/29/2013 12:56:25 PM
i've seen 30 minutes of Paul. does that count?
5/29/2013 1:18:54 PM
Does not count. Paul is not part of the Cornetto Trilogy.

The Mondo poster for this is pretty sick:
8/22/2013 11:23:35 PM
It was good, not on par with the last two - ending took away from the rest of the movie some.
8/23/2013 12:43:05 AM
yah should have ended about 5 minutes earlier
8/23/2013 12:50:27 AM
What's that hot girl's name? The one that played Miranda Frost in Die Another Day.

8/23/2013 9:15:26 AM
hoooooooooootstrange name though
8/23/2013 1:49:59 PM
I liked this better when it was called Sean of the Dead
8/23/2013 9:22:05 PM
Thought it was awesome. Not as good as Shaun of the Dead but better than Hot Fuzz. I like that they kept up with all of the common jokes and tons of foreshadowing and hints to the rest of the plot.

Really slow to start, but once it got going I really liked it. As everybody is saying, not as good as SOTD.
8/24/2013 1:18:16 PM
hot fuzz is pretty much a perfectly written movie
8/24/2013 3:48:20 PM
so this is the third movie in the last 14 months (The Watch and This is the End) that's a "group buddy apocalypse" comedy?come up with something new, Hollywood.

^The idea for this was developed years ago. The originally wanted to do a parody of horror, action, and sci-fi movies.

loved this. simon was really good. the directing and editing were amazing. the ending was a little weak. its like they didn't quite know how to finish it.watched SotD this afternoon, after a reeeeally long time. i think worlds end is right up there with it.SOTD = TWE > HF

9/2/2013 4:35:04 PM
saw it tonight. loved it!

this movie wasn't as good as shaun of the dead, which wasn't nearly as good as hot fuzz.

I watched all three in the last week, and I was surprised to realize that I liked The World's End the most.Things that were great:- the fight choreography was surprisingly good- Nick Frost playing straight man to Simon Pegg- the dialogue had me screaming with laughter- I thought this was had the best cinematographyOther than the cornetto, what are the parallels among the trilogy? I noticed the fence jumping and -- what I think of as -- A Requiem for a Dream quick shots. Is the bar being a central setting one of them?
9/3/2013 10:10:15 AM
Pub fights in general -- all of the movies had large pub brawls going with fun music. All three revealed the entire plot with metaphors very early in the film. Tons of foreshadowing and hints in each one.

great movie. I recognized a pub I used to go to in Welwyn Garden. I elbowed my date in the arm and was like "hey that's the cork! I've been there!" and looked it up and sure enough. it made me smile!

Hot Fuzz was the best of the three in my opinion. Also really love SotD, but this one honestly disappointed me.

Saw this over christmasDid I miss something about how many pints they'd have to throw down and how far they'd have to go? It seemed like it would be a fairly easy thing to do for anyone that drinks somewhat regularly. And yea, I know an imperial pint is a tad more than what we're used to, but it wouldn't make a difference.[Edited on January 20, 2014 at 9:43 AM. I don't think you missed how much they had to have so much as what realistically happens. The whole one at each thing would technically make it successful, and that's why it was their plan as middle-aged people who don't really want to do it but are trying to appease an old friend. I think the actual reality of it is 2 things:1) You end up having more than one at most of the places and maybe shots along the way as well. Even if you have just two at half the places, you're now up to 18 pints + some shots. Much more drunk, and less likely to finish. Plus, the whole just one at each thing is about the most boring way you could do it.2) To begin with, the crawl was something that was "cool" for teenagers... not really seasoned drinkers. Something in the mind of a senior in highschool is often a little different 15 years later. And the partying mindset just ups the likelihood of not having "just one" at each. And of course, they ended up having more than just one at the bars. And shots as well./looking at a setup for the much bigger "plot" of a movie way too seriously.[Edited on January 20, 2014 at 10:22 AM. Reason : .]
