Gillian Anderson returns to detective mode in BBC drama series The Fall. The psychological thriller will hit BBC Two on May 13 and all five episodes will be available in the U.S. and Latin America exclusively on Netflix starting May 28. The mini follows the lives of Anderson’s highly driven detective and the sexually motivated serial killer she’s tracking in Belfast. Overview

The series is set in Northern Ireland and follows a PSNI investigation into a string of recent homicides. When the PSNI are unable to close the case after 28 days, Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson of the Metropolitan Police Service is called in to review the case. Under her new leadership, the local detectives must track down and stop the serial killer who is terrorising the city of Belfast.
