Don't tip when you go to Red Lobster
3/21/2013 6:01:17 PM
Mmmm, fast-casual seafood.
3/21/2013 6:02:45 PM
i don't think whether or not a tip is expected has ever once influenced my choice of dining establishment
3/21/2013 6:05:08 PM
like the people who go to Red Lobster tip anyway...
3/21/2013 6:07:55 PM

I haven't been to a Golden Corral in at least 10 years, but do they still expect you to tip there? For setting a basket of bread on your table and filing up your drink at a drink station you walk by to get to the buffet?

Red Lobster is the bomb, and we all know it. I go at least twice a year and never regret it.I'm looking forward to trying out the new concept cause it looks good:

^^^^You only get one Cheddar Bay biscuit per diner at the Express locations (currently both are in the Orlando area), and the menus are a bit different too.[Edited on March 21, 2013 at 7:07 PM. Reason : ^BridgetSPK wins this thread.

My most recent red lobster venture was going there with 3 very large suitemates and maybe one other normal dude, and we abused the hell out of the free delicious bread they give out. Something like 14 rolls per person, I can't remember. It was brutal.[Edited on March 21, 2013 at 10:46 PM. Reason : Yeah, cheddar biscuits ]

It's more or less Red Lobster's way to compete during the lunch hour. Less and less people are willing to sit down for a meal and even then over the years, I've never seen lunch hour ever busy at a Red Lobster or Olive Garden; they've always been a dinner establishment.Although, I do think of tipping cost when I decide to eat out, but that's usually already tabulated into the cost of the meal already. I also tip very well because serving is a crappy job (most of the time) and I rarely eat out so the cost doesn't really impact me that much.If I had to choose between Red Lobster and Panera Bread, I'd go to Kroger, buy the ingredients and fucking make shit myself for 1/3 of the cost.

I was seeing a girl who bartended there a few years back. She'd make booty calls and bring cheese biscuits. More than made up for her personality. For a time.
3/22/2013 11:32:30 AM
yeah, while absolutely scrumptious, cheddar bay biscuits will tire faster than a terrible personality

They are going to water down the brand by doing this inside of existing red lobsters. Why not launch a new concept that could fit in a smaller restaurant (say the size of a Moes or chipotle)
3/22/2013 1:00:24 PM
nice concept

3/22/2013 1:04:25 PM
this is bullshit unless you can order a whole basket of the buiscuits
