Not a student anymore, but looking for a place to run a bit. Is there one available on or near campus?

If you run as well as you skate, give up immediately.

I recommend that lake over by Lake Park, off Avent Ferry...don't remember what that lake's calledbut it's like 2.5 miles and much more interesting/enjoyable than running on a track, for my money[Edited on February 18, 2013 at 10:57 PM. Reason : yuj]

The last time I tried to run on the track security kicked me off. He said it was open to the public for one hour a day. Other times it's used for PE or the track team I guess.^ It's called Lake Johnson. It's a good loop. I used to run it all the time.[Edited on February 19, 2013 at 11:01 AM. Reason : Very hilly]

Aren't there non-paved trails that go around the portion of the lake that is to the west of the bridge/Avent Ferry Rd.? How are those? I've only ever been on the hilly loop on the east of AF.Here's what I found on the hours for Derr:http://www.gopack.com/facilities/paul-derr-track-soccer.html
