Christ, the NC GOP is going at it full-bore.
1/31/2013 6:02:00 PM
^In all fairness, this was a priority to get done on their 2nd day in session, I mean the annual rally in August is right around the corner! At least they did it during a regular session, rather than calling a special session that costs 10s of thousands of dollars a day to run to double ban gay marriage like they did last time.
1/31/2013 6:10:36 PM
They probably realize their days are numbered and have to ram things through ASAP.the dems need to be this way nationally...
1/31/2013 6:47:40 PM
They're definitely painting themselves as the party of liberty, personal responsibility, and freedom right now...
1/31/2013 7:01:40 PM
Jesus, the NCGA and McCrony are truly iniquitous.
1/31/2013 8:28:04 PM
They're working on an anti-tanning bill too:http://www.wral.com/youthful-glow-to-fade-under-proposed-tanning-bed-rules/12050076/

Hey it sounds like a great way to get teenage girls involved in politics
1/31/2013 9:20:45 PM
1/31/2013 9:23:49 PM
you liberals make me laugh, you want to dictate every facet of my fucking life from wearing a seatbelt, healthcare, firearms...the list goes on, and on, and on.then, when a conservative proposes a bill making it illegal to SHOW YOUR TITS IN PUBLIC you want to whine like the republicans and evil pat mccrory are the only ones wanting to tell people how to do things.
1/31/2013 10:03:49 PM
tits can put an eye out
1/31/2013 10:05:15 PM
^^ Defending Republicans at the expense of tits is really gay
1/31/2013 10:12:37 PM
^^^Wearing a seat belt and healthcare aren't liberal things, and nothing so far has been done to your firearms (obama has loosened restrictions and heralded windfalls for the gun companies). Meanwhile, republicans are passing constitutional amendments to enshrine religious based restrictions on people's personal lives, and pass laws to subtly (or not so subtly) further push a religious-based agenda on nannying people.[Edited on January 31, 2013 at 10:13 PM. 1/31/2013 10:12:49 PM
Yup, us liberals really crossed the line with that whole seatbelt thing. Oh wait:

Eh. The political divide on health care seems to be centered on who pays for it.[Edited on January 31, 2013 at 10:28 PM. Reason : grammar are difficult ]
1/31/2013 10:24:08 PM
Democrats and Republicans both want some version of a nanny state. Depending on what you're willing to stomach, kinda dictates which side you fall on.
1/31/2013 10:26:22 PM
^^^Nixon and Gingrich (and he broader GOP) were big proponents of healthcare reform. It wasn't until Obama that republicans became very anti healthcare, and even then, their revisions served to make the bill more corporatist, their concerns were never on promoting liberty (and you could easily argue having healthcare promotes risk taking an enhances life rather than restricting people).[Edited on January 31, 2013 at 10:29 PM. 1/31/2013 10:29:16 PM
You cannot seriously believe that the GOP has only become against gov't healthcare since President Obama. Really?
1/31/2013 10:56:01 PM
What people don't realize is that this could be a killer for women that breast feed, where your boobs are exposed in public very frequently. I think that it is an over reaction for sure.
1/31/2013 11:49:55 PM
Women breast feed all time where I live and I have mixed feelings.[Edited on February 1, 2013 at 12:02 AM. Reason : In public]
2/1/2013 12:02:14 AM
^^^ that's the reality.Even Rand Paul will defend social security and medicare in front of the right cameras.
2/1/2013 12:10:25 AM
^^^ The text of the bill explicitly exempts breast feeding.
2/1/2013 12:31:31 AM
2/1/2013 10:03:15 AM
Yea, wondering if that means mixed feelings about the bill affecting breastfeeding in public, or mixed feelings on women breastfeeding in public in general. This law specifically exempts breastfeeding, so it has no bearing on it. If you have an issue with women breastfeeding in public, then deal with that on your own.
2/1/2013 10:21:44 AM
More to the point, why do you think your opinion should carry any weight on what other people should or should not be allowed to do?This is the primary problem with America today. Everybody thinks that their opinion and their feelings should be fucking sacrosanct and codified into laws. Most people have fucking idiotic opinions and are generally poorly informed. I include myself in this group, the major difference being that I don't think it's a good idea to use political power and the powers of the state to limit other people's liberty unless it's absolutely necessary to protect my own rights.
2/1/2013 10:25:14 AM
this surely will create jobs.
2/1/2013 11:37:12 AM
Any woman that pulls her big ol' titty out in public to feed her little bastard should at least have the common courtesy to share.
2/1/2013 6:18:08 PM
2/2/2013 11:22:37 PM
Republicans just don't want to see your ugly ass titties parading around town.
2/3/2013 11:38:06 AM
evil republicans making a law to ensure people wear clothes. those bastards.

^Shit, on both sides. Dem's want to make cigarettes illegal, but marijuana and other drugs legal. And you can be nude anywhere, including your car, but make sure you have your seatbelt on. And make sure you have to show photo proof to drive, buy a gun, alcohol, or cigarettes. But don't think for a second you should have to do the same when your going to fucking vote. And fuck whatever you want, man, woman, animal, that is all cool too. If you are hetero, don't worry about protection, because if she gets pregnant, just plunger that bitch out. Meanwhile, Republicans don't want to let you have an abortion or prance around with your titties out, but you can have guns anywhere.
2/4/2013 12:25:09 PM
2/4/2013 12:33:17 PM
I find most conservatives and Republicans to be viscerally disgusting, especially when they open their mouths, can I get them banned in public as well?Even worse is when they have children, christ I'm about to vomit, we need to outlaw such perverse decadence from our society and bar them from marrying.
2/4/2013 12:35:59 PM
^^don't be mad bro, just try to look at it from a less biased perspective and don't be such a hypocrite.[Edited on February 4, 2013 at 12:38 PM. Reason : ]
2/4/2013 12:36:07 PM
^so you can't explain, and using the word "hack" over and over just gets your dick hard? k, just making sure.
2/4/2013 12:45:14 PM
i'm just seeing your question that you edited in later, so don't get all uppity like you stumped me or something.i say "hack", because if you weren't so biased, you'd realize that it is completely hypocritical for a conservative republican, who are supposed to believe that government shouldn't interfere in citizens' personal lives, propose a bill supporting the governments involvement in people's personal lives, and then you go on a straw-man rant against liberals to somehow defend this anti-arealoa bill proposed by republicans. I call you a hack because you seem to support the conservative "team", and oppose the liberal "team", even if it means being a illogical hypocrite.[Edited on February 4, 2013 at 1:06 PM. Reason : ]

My point is, both sides stick their nose into places in our lives that neither belong. Neither party can claim to truly be the party of smaller government. The Republicans want to legislate morality and the Democrats want to legislate social equality. Neither are things that government should exist for, in my opinion.
2/4/2013 1:19:05 PM
^^^your reading comprehension needs help... severely.
2/4/2013 1:22:48 PM
^^Well, my point was that a good chunk of things you were attributing to the "side" of Democrat were flat out unsubstantiated. Also, I think the government should exist for equality since businesses/local governments/state governments have historically and repeatedly demonstrated that they will happily discriminate. If the government isn't for the betterment of its constituents, then what is it for?
2/4/2013 1:43:18 PM
^^i just find it odd that as a self-descrbied libertarian, your first instinct is not to criticize this bill and those who propose it, but to intstead start ranting about how liberals are worse.
2/4/2013 1:48:15 PM
^^Democrats support gay marriage and abortion. Animals may have been hyperbole, but the point was still valid. The LGBT community is firmly on the left side of the aisle and wants to have all of the same rights as others. As somebody who doesn't really give a shit either way, I don't care.Smoking. Well the President did sign the Family Smoking Prevention & Control Act which allows the FDA to regulate the tobacco industry. More government control and intrusion. Not saying its right or not (I don't smoke and hate smoking honestly) but the Democrat president and Democrats in Congress were the sponsors of it.The nudity was pointing to the people crying about the Republicans putting this bill forward. Most of the ones against it are very liberal/progressive/Democrat.Seatbelts are required for the good of the people. It is now primary enforcement in many states. I wear mine every time I get in the car and require all of my passengers to do so as well. That said, is it the right of government to require this, and ticket people if they do not?Safe sex, I don't disagree with you either. Again my point though, we have two extremes. Everything is okay, and nothing is okay. And the government should be there to enforce all of it for either side. Ugh.[Edited on February 4, 2013 at 2:18 PM. Reason : I hate the Nanny State as much as the Morality Police.]
