They are the tangle-free version, hence the 'ribbon' wiring.

What can you do with a Nook? I can't tell if you are trolling or not (with either question), lol, but it's an inexpensive reading device that supports multiple formats.

These are not knockoffs you can test them before you buy. And no I do not have the reciept. They were a gift to me. The Nook is wifi only.

the nice thing about beats by dre is you cant tell the knockoffs from the real, since both will sound like mid range boomy crap.

Everything I looked into to validate them says that they are real (i.e. has 6 extra rubber ear pieces). Some items that suggest fake versus real actually doesn't matter since both can have the item (i.e. gray vs white lettering on the front of the box). Anything that I need to take a high res photo of to let you make your own decision on whether they are real or fake just let me know and I will post it.

Should be 1.7 since that what I had updated it to before I wiped it. Otherwise its reset to 1.4 (or 1.5) and can be upgraded to 1.7.
