This looks pretty damn good. Very surprised nobody else made a thread for it yet.Who is tuning in tonight?
1/21/2013 3:57:41 PM
So excite.
1/21/2013 4:06:18 PM
I have it set for dvr. The reviews have been good and it has been said it is surprisingly violent for a non-cable tv show.
1/21/2013 4:23:34 PM
i'm going to give it a fair shot. but if it turns into a Criminal Minds copycat then it won't last long.
1/21/2013 4:32:55 PM
I'm going to give it a shot, i need a new show.
1/21/2013 4:57:34 PM
We are gonna give it a shot tonight, I also need a new show to watch
1/21/2013 8:49:06 PM
I feel like I have to post this dialogue from the pilot because it's really fucking terrible:
1/21/2013 9:24:49 PM
the pilot was awesome; will definitely be tuning in for the duration. at least until it jumps the shark..
1/21/2013 10:05:34 PM
I thought it was good, felt like they did a little too much, almost felt like the pace you would find in a two hour long movie
1/21/2013 10:06:58 PM
I liked it. I feel like we will gradually meet each of his followers over each new episode. Might even be some insiders.
1/21/2013 10:10:47 PM
That lady's mole is really distracting. But Kevin Bacon, so ill keep tuning in.
1/21/2013 11:07:22 PM
the pilot was intriguing but cult killer of the week?yawn]
1/21/2013 11:12:52 PM
Cheesy lines thoNevermore’! ‘The Raven’! Poe is symbolizing the finality of death!
1/21/2013 11:18:45 PM
I'll go ahead and speculate that Bacon will have a heart attack in the season finale, and right before he goes under for surgery one of the "followers" walks in dressed as the doctor
1/22/2013 9:09:48 AM
Issa!
1/22/2013 9:15:04 AM
I'm looking for a new show and Kevin Bacon is awesome so I watched...it was interesting enough, but there was a lot of stupid in it, as armorfrsleep and Slave Famous pointed out...not sure this is gonna do it for me reallyI would have liked there to be a lot more focus on Bacon's character and his current issues. Other than a shot of his trashcan and him walking around with liquor in a water bottle, you wouldn't have any idea he's an alcoholic. His character doesn't exactly scream anti-hero to me the way they want it to
1/22/2013 10:18:53 AM
I think it would be better if the roles were reversed. Bacon would make a great serial killer, and the Irishman is a natural to play the drunken cop.
1/22/2013 10:37:04 AM
^ great idea...I'd watch that showcould be an interesting twist...Bacon was fascinated with the professor at first, maybe he becomes a follower at the end or something and someone else emerges as the hero...John McClain would be my suggestion
1/22/2013 10:52:58 AM
how would they ever be able to write the The Closer crossover episode with real life wife Kyra Sedgwick!?but no, i understand the complaint about Bacon's character not quite being the anti-hero we should be seeing. But perhaps his spiral begins now, after Sarah has been killed and Carrol's "circle" has been completed. ]
1/22/2013 11:30:11 AM
this show gave me terribad nightmares
1/22/2013 3:10:12 PM
I wanted to give this show a fair chance, but the writing is straight-up abysmal. armorfrsleep's example was a good one. I'll give it another shot, but it's a little obnoxious.
1/22/2013 3:22:52 PM
"The Following is brought to you by the following:"
1/22/2013 3:57:30 PM
i just started watching the pilot, i had DVR'd it earlier this week.also:
1/25/2013 4:33:59 PM
Bump for tonights episode
1/28/2013 9:00:13 PM
So I'm guessing that The Following didn't cough up any money for Ford or Chevy? Every vehicle I've seen so far on the show has it's emblems removed. Kind of weird.
1/29/2013 8:53:02 AM
is this another one of those shows that glorifies serial killers?
1/29/2013 8:54:54 AM
if you haven't watched the 2nd episode yet, don't read this.so i wasn't paying the closest attention, but is fbi/cult specialist girl in cahoots with joe? she brought him that poe book in jail... i feel like i missed something that explains what's going on more.[Edited on January 29, 2013 at 10:54 AM. 1/29/2013 10:52:29 AM
^yeah, sounds like she's part of it.
1/29/2013 2:12:44 PM
this show is awful.
1/29/2013 3:11:03 PM
basically the premise of the show is you can't trust anyone! cliffhangers! verbose deconstructions of Poe's poetry! there's too much other tv on right now to waste any more of my time with this one.
1/29/2013 3:55:33 PM
These are the kind of shows that need to wrap up in one season.
1/29/2013 4:00:39 PM
I like it, both episodes so far have been solid enough to keep me watching. Much better than the last few shows that I've tried to watch (Last Resort, Revolution, Terranova)
1/29/2013 4:18:45 PM
1/29/2013 4:57:55 PM
I actually like this show.
2/2/2013 3:59:04 PM
Im not normally into girls with short short hair, but the cult girl on this show is insanely cute
2/4/2013 9:31:36 PM
Believe it or not, I'm walking on air...
2/4/2013 9:51:57 PM
^^yeah, cult girl is kind of doing it for me too in this weird crazy eyed bitch sort of way.I even found myself falling into Joe's trap like Ryan last night! He's not a killer, he's too charming! But i'm enjoying this more than I thought i would. The twist at the end of last night's was a good one. I should have probably picked up on the clues, but i was actually surprised. The creepy exchange at the end of episode two between Joe and the new head agent left me wondering about her though.
2/5/2013 8:11:05 AM
I think shes just trying to be the "nice" agent. Joe saying "thanks for the book" in front of the other agents closed that door for meI'm really enjoying this show, I didn't expect it to be as dark as it is

I get the feeling that the young FBI kid that tags along with Hardy all the time is in the cult. He just seems way too into Hardy's life. Also I think he killed the black FBI guy when Hardy was ouside. Also the kids name is Mike Weston. Why do they keep using that name (Burn Notice)?
2/5/2013 11:26:46 AM
the woman inside the house killed the black FBI agent. you saw her with the knife stabbing him through the neck. as for the young FBI agent, i do have my suspicions of him too; he fits the mold of the group all too well.
2/5/2013 12:20:15 PM
i think ^^ is saying that the FBI agent simply let him bleed out instead of applying pressure on the wound to save him.
2/5/2013 1:14:39 PM
ah gotcha..yeah definitely plausible he let him bleed out or made it worse somehow. good point.
2/5/2013 2:04:26 PM
Yeah, I meant to imply he let him bleed or asphyxiated him. When I watch shows like this I always know there is a BIG twist coming in the finale so I try to pick up on what it might be. Like the wife being in on it seemed obvious and the stabbing seemed to be a set up from the beginning. I think this show is pretty good so far, and just creepy enough. Teaching the kid to kill is really F'ed up.
2/5/2013 2:08:39 PM
This show has some great premise. Usually decent twists. Like the main plot points are hitting the mark. But then everything in between is just stupid, lazy writing. Why the fuck didn't the FBI chick call the black FBI guy.Every time they're staked out protecting someone in a house i've heard "The house is secure" but nope! Two minutes later someone in the house is killing people.[Edited on February 5, 2013 at 5:14 PM. Reason : h]

also, didnt the son ask short-haired crazy girl "why is my daddy a bad man?" (or something to that affect?)
2/6/2013 8:20:21 AM
^ The kid wouldn't know.^^ But it never alluded to when the affair between Hardy and the wife started. Perhaps finding out about the affair was what pushed Carroll to start the murder spree knowing that he would be able to get close to and fuck with Ryan Hardy. We just assume it started during the first investigation.[Edited on February 6, 2013 at 10:20 AM. Reason : qq]
2/6/2013 10:19:13 AM
so the flashback to the first time Ryan and Claire meet at the University was all a giant ruse to fool the viewers?
