Just imagine someone making a thread titled <script>document.location="http://t.co"</script> (I tried a META refresh but there aren't enough characters, and the redirect script only works with domains up to 6 characters including dots)...

Anyway, it's a failure of the platform for not providing robust HTML filtering IMO.
