This is probably a stupid question but for some reason I can't seem to figure out a scenario that works. Maybe you guys can help.

I am getting ready to fly to Vegas and I want to transfer a few movies from DVD to the hard drive of a netbook. The netbook does not have a DVD drive, so I will need to save them to the hard drive of my desktop then transfer them over with a thumb drive. What is the best method to rip the DVD and save it in a format that will play on Media Player or iTunes? The movies are already decrypted so that won't be an issue. I have DVDFab, Decrypter, and Shrink on my desktop, but it's been a while since I have used them so I need a refresher.

It only costs a few dollars to rent them digitally, I would just do that

(unless this will be a recurring thing and you want to digitize your collection)

If space isn't a concern and you're not trying to stream or anything I'd just leave everything in .iso and use something like Daemon Tools to mount the disc.

^^^You shouldn't need to convert them. If they're decrypted just drag the files over to the netbook. VLC player or Windows Media Player will both recognize the DVD folder structure and play the movies. Too much of a hassle trying to convert them.
