If you or someone you know lost a set of keys this morning, I may have them. Posting here because of a tech-related key chain. They were found on campus in the vicinity of the west Dunn building.

no takers all day. for the record, there was one university key on it. the lock shop wouldn't give me any info about whose key it was and wouldn't even contact the person directly without having the keys in their possession. so ultimately we gave the keys to the lock shop and *hope* they will actually get in touch with their owner.

Of course the campus has a lock shop, think of how many freaking keys they have to deal with.

They probably didnt do shit. Threw the thing out, or pulled the university keys off and threw the rest out. If the person who lost them is lucky, they marked the key returned so they dont get charged.Hell, even campus police wont look keys up. When I was working, I used to turn in loads of lost keys with university keys attached, and they never followed up on them.

that is precisely why i tried to go every other possible route. i even walked through all of the nearby parking lots and deck pushing the panic button on the keys. we need a central repository for lost and found items...even if we turn the items in to campus police or wherever, having a place where people can go to report lost and found items would be nice. how does a campus of 30,000 students not have such a thing???
