http://www.cpusa.org/I was wondering why the Communist Party endorses Obama and the Democratic Party rather than nominating their own candidate for president like the Green and Libertarian parties. Are they just fearful that any nominee they put up will fail miserably?Sam Webb, national chairman, said it was absolutely essential to vote Democratic and for Obama. I guess he just sees running candidates under the Communist Party label as futile? Seems pretty weak sauce if you ask me.

Because he knows that a vote for a communist president is a vote for Romney.

The CPUSA doesn't have any ballot access, that's why they haven't bothered running a candidate for years: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2012#Third_parties

It's because Obama is a Communist. Duh.

The sad thing is that tea-tards like Wolfman Tim vote.

I heard they were going to nominate someone, but it turns out pryderi is not eligible.

@lewisje Well done comrade.

It's because Obama Romney is a Communist. Duh.FTFY

Communism is such a joke. In every applied instance it was horrifically corrupted until it became an oligarchy. People may complain that capitalism is for the rich. But communism, only favors leaders, as in an oligarchy.

why is the Communist party supporting the Democratic party? It would seem like it would have a negative impact when the national chairman endorses Obama and says that everyone should vote the Democratic Party...right?I'm surprised the national media hasn't brought this up.

We're drifting towards oligarchy now. All large groups drift this way for obvious reasons. This is what the constitution was supposed to deter, and this is what the post great depression era politics were characterized by fighting (when labor laws and social welfare programs became big things).

It was also a huge battle fought during the late 1800s which is where they're trying to send us back to.

Whats wrong with an oligarchy if it prevents the rich stealing from the poor?
8/13/2012 6:31:57 AM
That's not a real question is it?
8/13/2012 6:53:10 AM
8/13/2012 8:56:56 AM
Because the Democratic party is the public face of the Communist Party and Obama is their leader.
8/13/2012 10:16:11 AM
Didn't Bin Laden endorse John McCain for president in 08?How would the communist people choosing Obama be any more practical a bearing on ideologies than that?

It costs a lot of money to do a Presidential campaign and if you're 100% assured to lose there are probably more productive ways to spend that money, even if your priority is simply exposure.Their endorsement of Obama probably has to do with the fact that he, despite being a member of the exploiting class and ultimately a supporter of the Capitalist system, is somewhat more sympathetic to the plight of the working class than Romney. That is, a million poor children might eater better under Obama than Romney, but rest assured they nonetheless all regard him as just another boot-licking liberal chickenshit.[Edited on August 13, 2012 at 10:50 AM.
