Quoted me about $900/year for auto + home, but I know nothing about the company, other than RAGE e-complaints, the "I've never filed a claim, just paid my premiums, but they're totally awesome!" reviews, and what seem to be obvious attempts of anon self-reviews.

I have a friend that sells for Erie in Burlington. He may be able to get you a better quote. If you are interested, PM me and I will get you his contact info

I've got Erie for home and auto. Have had a few claims and everything went well. No complaints, really.

I house sat a place that was being repaired by Erie and I'd use them. They were good about approving and paying for stuff.

I just signed up for car insurance yesterday. Hopefully they don't suck.

I got the best rate with them for homeowners and auto, but never had to file a claim. I do hate their online interface, I used to use travellers site which wasn't great, but 10x better than erie.basically just annoying stuff like it not saving your policy # so when you go pay our bill you have to look it up and re-enter it, and stuff like that.

My parents use them & I don't know of any issues. I had auto insurance through them in high school & college & had one accident that was my fault & from what I recall, it was a smooth process.

got hit by a guy insured by them, they were pretty slow on getting my car repaired (took about a month) but they at least followed up to make sure I hadn't found any more damage once I got it from the shop.

I'm in the process of signing up with them for auto + home. They offered me the most coverage for the cheapest on home and I believe beat everyone but Geico on auto.

I had nationwide, amica, and been with Erie for almost a year now. They are great....locally I used the Crismond group in Raleigh....I have renters insurance and car insurance with them. Price and Service has kept me with them. They were half of what Amica wanted....

I was rear-ended by someone with Erie Insurance a few weeks ago. They paid for everything, no questions asked. It was fantastic. I was rear-ended by someone with Direct General Insurance a few years ago, and had a TERRIBLE experience. Therefore, Erie wins.

Erie is said to be a good company. One of the few I'd suggest folks look at.

Turns out, my current service (Allstate) came up with an even lower rate! Though I need to recheck them for auto.
