Haha wrong. The ports are in the bay further away. The ship is just entering the bay through the canal about to go under an aerial lift bridge.

Nice try but Cape Cod doesn't have an aerial lift bridge. Think there's really only 2 like it in the United States.

Yeah I believe that's the other big one. It's pretty cool standing under it when big ships go under.

FWIW I believe Jacksonville also has a lift bridge (unless it's been replaced since I was last there in the 90's)

My other favorite part about Duluth/Lake Superior is the beaches are stones/pebbles that get smaller as you get closer to the water.

And the water's pretty damn clear.

Ha...we took a bunch of pictures right when we got there, then kind of put the phone up for the rest of the time. Felt like a noob because everyone else were regular "yachters".

Chalk up $150,000 for a week charter. Or be best friends with one of the stewards.

Yeah, it seems to me I'd rather charter a much smaller boat and not invite stewards' friends like jbrick83.

Not one for networking on land let alone at sea.

Difference being that no one was chartering the boat at the time. The owner and his family were on the boat...and I actually knew his kids! (but not well enough to where they would have invited me) There were several people on the boat that run in my social circle, so we all got along, had a great time, and we didn't turn into the social outcasts/friends of "the help" that I worried might happen.
