so how does this work? once we pick a team we cant change? or do we pick a new team every week?

Read here for rules: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/rules/Basically for the Premier League Site, you create a squad of 15 players (2 GK, 5 DFs, 5 MFs, 3 FWs). You have a £100 budget to spend on those players. Each week, you field a squad of 11 players. Should one of the players you start not play, a sub will automatically be brought on. After each week, you are granted one free transfer where you can replace one player on your squad with any other player provided you don't go above budget. Each additional transfer that week costs you points toward next weeks score. If you don't use your free transfer one week, it rolls over so you can use two the following week. If you don't use it then, it's lost. You have one wildcard you can use at anytime. This allows you to make as many transfers as you want that week at no penalty. There's also a period halfway through the season where you get unlimited free transfers. That was a lot more typing than I thought. Be sure to read the rules though.

^^I see you signed up for the Yahoo! league, too. http://us.premierleague.fantasysports.yahoo.com/football/rulesThat one's a bit different. You pick a formation and fill it with 11 players with a £100 budget. The values of the players change quite a bit depending on how well or poorly they do each week. If a player you own has his value drop, you receive money back reflecting his new price. You can buy or sell as many players as you want each week, but you don't receive any extra money for selling a player who's value is greater than where you bought him, so the object is to get the best performing squad, at the lowest price. Hint: The new transfers into the Premier League have ridiculously low prices, so take be sure to take a look at some of them.It really just takes a couple of weeks to get the hang of both the games. Once you play it, it's real easy to figure out.]

I don't think I'm going to make an ESPN league since I'm I doubt I'll even make a team there this year. Two leagues are enough for me since so few play in them anyways.Community Shield a week from today.Season starts in two weeks.]

Official 1 week left bump.Community Shield tomorrow. League play starts the 18th so make sure your squad is ready.

What the fuck is this shit? I'm not playing in multiple leagues. I'll probably forget about it a week into the season. The EPL one is official since it was posted first.

^I tried to tell him.

What's the code I'm not PMing anybody.Damnit I just signed up for the wrong leagueNevermind. I'm out.Don't care enough.

Jesus Christ, really? This only if you enjoy playing this stuff. I never made any claims as to an official league, I just made a thread to keep all this stuff in and away from the EPL thread. I like the formats the different leagues offer, so I made others in case any one was interested. In case you change your mind and want to play again, the H2H league uses the same team as the Classic league. The only difference is the scoring (W= 3 points, D = 1) rather than totaling the score of all previous weeks. If you weren't going to bother playing after a week, the league is probably better off without you.]

Last warning to sign up/set teams for Saturday since I probably won't be around to bump this thread Friday.I decided to add Geoff Cameron to my squad on the back of his damn good performance against Mexico. Hope he gets some decent playing time at Stoke.

Time to bump so I brag about my position to the 3 people still playing.2nd place, baby! I hopped on the Tevez and Toure train early and piggy backed on Michu after week 1. Already used my wild card after the first week because Aguero/Song were out/left and I wanted to bandwagon on some of the players who were already doing well. Now comes slow drop back into obscurity behind people that have long since stopped playing, but somehow still have better squads than me.
9/2/2012 4:57:13 PM
I had to jump on dat Michu bandwagon.
9/2/2012 5:03:58 PM
I'd never heard of him. I saw he had 2 goals and an assist in his first game and looked him up and saw he had 15 or so goals in La Liga last year. At £2.5M, he looks like a huge steal for Swansea.Bandwagon, ho.

Only through fixture 3/38 and......

Thank God I read about Berbatov's injury Friday night. If I hadn't traded him for Demba Ba, I'd only have half the points I do this week. He was the only person on my squad to get a goal or assist.I now remember why I liked Yahoo!'s game more; infinite transfers. I second guess myself way too much in these games and having penalties after the free transfers is really racking my brain.
