Insano

Quote :
"Insano

Location: Beach Park, Fortaleza, Brazil

Everything you need to know about this water slide — or water cliff, we should say — is in its name. This is an insane water slide.

Standing a stomach-churning 41 meters (that's 14 stories) high, Brazil's Insano is officially the tallest water slide in the world. Unofficially, it's the one that gives us the most willies. After what looks more like stepping out of plane than scooching down a slide, riders plummet down the near-vertical ride for about four or five seconds, during which they'll reach the ungodly speed of about 65 mph. The ride then terminates with what the creators call a 'relaxing dive into the swimming pool.' Relaxing might not be the right word."

Click to see other 4, which all happen to be in the US.

I must make it to all of them! OK, I know that probably won't happen, so my goal is to make it to at least one of them.

the black swirly tube slides on the same tower as the straight down slide at emerald pointe are pretty intense.

The article I posted is obviously someone's opinion.

If you guys have been to insane water slides elsewhere, please post here, with pictures/links if possible.

Thanks ^

I went on Summit Plummet when it first opened. I forget how old I was at the time but I was there with my grandmother and I was terrified of heights. I refused to go on it but my grandmother told me, "Well let's climb up there and if you still don't want to do it you can go back down the line." We get to the top, I sit down on the edge, and as I'm saying, "No I can't do this," my grandmother pushes me off the edge of the slide It was fun even though I was absolutely terrified the whole way down

I hate heights. I can't fathom riding the one that look like a vertical plunge. I just imagine falling forward and tumbling down the whole thing.

When I was in middle school we went to Emerald Pointe, and I rode the tall water slide between the two black tubes mentioned earlier a few times. After about the third run down, it started to hurt because the slide had melted a hole in my bathing suit.

True story.

i had a mole on my back.

had.

one of the sections of the big vertical waterslide at kings dominion ripped that sucker right off.

i bled like a stuck pig... they had to shut the slide down until it was clean.

true, gross, and painful story.

not a waterslide story, but somewhat related.

i was waiting in line for escape from pompeii at busch gardens and a boat returned with a kid that was too short for the ride with a bloody face. the kid had slid forward when it hit the water at the bottom and busted his nose/lip on the seat in front of him. blood was everywhere. the crew running the ride just look at each other and sent it through empty to wash it off.

I've been to Blizzard Beach at Disney World, but I don't remember the water slide being anything special.

Those were cool, but once I did Dare Devil Drop nothing else was fun in the park except for the skycoaster.
