Has anyone fostered for the WCAS? I'm interested in knowing what your experiences were. I'm considering this. husband wants to adopt, but I want to help more than just one kitty.

i've fostered for best friend pet adoption, but not wake county. umm so that's probably not helpful but i might be able to answer general questions about fostering.

I fostered a jack russell once so I'm fine with the idea of helping an animal then giving it up. I was just curious about my options in this area. If I went with cat angels I'd have to find a new vet, because my vet will claim my cat isn't "up to date" on vaccines because I only do the combo vaccine every 4 years (it has been shown to last 5-8, but most vets ignore the literature when it might interfere with their profits).

i can't handle it... i volunteered there for a while and fell in love with every damned dog there and had my heart broken when they were adopted (which i know was my goal in training them but it sucked)

i had 6 kittens from 3 different litters all at one time. they were all the same age. one of them was super ugly, black (nobody wants black cats), had crossed eyes, & was terrified of everything. except for me. i fell in love & kept him. i don't think it would have been as easy to give up the rest if i hadn't had kept monkey. he grew into an extremely beautiful cat (although this picture doesn't show that). very much an ugly duckling though.

I'm a huge animal lover but I could never do this. I would end up keeping too many pets.

All three of my cats were fosters...We did successfully foster and place a puppy though.

I will say, it's hard to give them back but when they find a good home it's worth it
