I'm trying to use an emulator and I need the TI-89 .rom or .89u file but the data jack on mine doesn't work for some reason. Would one of you happen to have that file on-hand (or be able to pull it off your own TI-89) to send my way?

not sure if that's what you need but maybe

I download TiEmu3 from here: http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tiemu/win32.html and loaded the .89u file from above and it worked. Hope that helps

Yeah i found that earlier but the TI website asks for a log in
