Looks like a rip off. I'd like to see some actual gameplay before officially concluding that. It's concerning that it's release date is "2012" and they're not showing any gameplay.See, now that I looked at the screenshots, I'm not as convinced it's just an AC ripoff? Why don't they show some damned gameplay footage in their "debut trailer?"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zze1wpwVl7c[Edited on April 17, 2012 at 3:03 PM. Reason : .]

It's definitely an AC rip off, but the art direction looks cool enough I might play it all the same. So much of games these days is cinematic that's a pretty big thing.

To be honest it looks a lot more like a BioShock rip off from the screenshots. nothing22 has it right. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

funny the game is neither a bioshock or an assassin's creed ripoff, as those games ripped off the IPs the creative directors of dishonored created. the guys who are doing dishonored did deus ex, half life 2, thief and might and magic.I'm pretty pumped for it as deus ex and halflife 2 are some of my all time favorite games

played a little so far. the story is very rushed and feels like a checkbox to be checked rather than the motivation. there could be better use of music. the textures are pretty garbage for a pc game, I never saw more than 350mb vram in use. controls are tight with keyboard and mouse, haven't tried a controller yet though I probably will. on the highest difficulty I found it fairly easy but it's early going. feels very console-ized as there's no inventory system. you either collect ammo/rations with no UI into what you have or what you find you have to consume right there, you can't take it with you. so far it suffers from the same problem deus ex 3 did, with stealth takedowns being so overpowered that you don't have much incentive to use a weapon or avoid a conflict completely. I like that it tries to be whatever game you want to play but so far definitely feels like it's in no mans land. the art is pretty great but there's something missing from the atmosphere. sound maybe?[Edited on October 9, 2012 at 3:02 AM. Reason : all settings are maxed but im in temp housing so im playing on an old 19" ][Edited on October 9, 2012 at 3:25 AM. Reason : don't let me disuade you from the game altogether, it's a solid 80 or better]

Controller with PC version works very well as expected. Its definitely a good game. A good game can't completely satisfy everyone.

played another hour or so - game definitely gets better with many cues to both deus ex (so much junk to read!) and hl2 (on the escape and town alerts against you). not quite what i was hoping for yet, but making strides

The way you get introduced into side missions are great, and they seem quite meaningful, about as meaningful as the main story. Exploration is rewarded, which is always great. Stealth has a great balance, though it tends to be a little OP, but to put it another way you do NOT have to be highly patient like playing Splinter Cell or something, and there are quite crafty ways to exploit the game mechanics to proceed.

first game like this that i've played in yearsi'm enjoying it

i finished the game over the weekend. i thoroughly enjoyed playing it; i was a little skeptical at first but the more i played the more i got into it. i like being able to choose lethal or nonlethal methods of dispatching with someone. although, i typically went lethal. my chaos rating by the end of the game was "high".

Shame T-Dub kinda shit on this game. I think it's a gem. Anyone played The Knife of Dunwall? I just finished my first playthrough yesterday. Far too short!

I like it, I just have not finished it. I may do that this week.

I finished it. the ending was terrible but a solid game overall. I was disappointed at the lack of a real boss.
