I really liked Tiny Furniture so I will definitely be checking this out.
4/12/2012 2:48:49 PM
also starring Brian Williams' absolutely gorgeous daughter, Allison, who I had never seen until she was on Letterman last week
4/12/2012 2:51:22 PM
she was on conan last night and said she shows her titties on it so I got it on dvrnot that she's all that attractive (she's cute), but its just part of my quest to see every boobie in the owrld[Edited on April 12, 2012 at 3:05 PM. Reason : v yes, lena durham]

(Lena Dunham, not Allison Williams)(and I, too, am intrigued )
4/12/2012 3:03:56 PM
that was really, really goodcondum humor FTW
4/16/2012 12:14:10 AM
I felt like she really nailed down the mix of pathos and humor from her film, but with a larger cast and broader scope. It kind of bugs me that this is getting compared to Sex in the City, since this is a much more grounded and relatable show.
4/16/2012 1:29:34 AM
not to mention they didnt cast livestock as their main characters
4/16/2012 1:36:16 AM
who's comparing it to Sex and the City?It seems like pretty much the opposite of that.
4/16/2012 2:04:45 AM
I watched it but I don't think I get it. I dont see how it's relatable, but I'm not the kind of person who thinks I have no skills.
4/16/2012 2:10:23 AM
^^she was on conan and they both were relating it to sex and the city
4/16/2012 9:24:45 AM
This looks REALLY stupid.Probably funnier that Bridesmaids though...Female inspired comedy just isn't that funny.
4/16/2012 10:22:41 AM
^wut.also, really liked it. not as much as i had hoped, but really liked it.am going to rewatch later this week.
4/16/2012 10:23:34 AM
It wasn't bad. I was bored though; didn't seem to go anywhere. But its just the pilot.
4/16/2012 10:24:51 AM
4/16/2012 11:17:30 AM
I thought it was well-written and relatable, but I didn't love it. will keep watching though.

Just watched it. It was decent - at last warranting another view or so.It was relatable to me NOT because I can personally relate, but because it pretty much mocked similarly naive people I know: mid-20somethings with no real skills who blame the economy because they can't live in NYU (or other expensive city) or have their dream life while not holding any real job or really even trying that hard
4/16/2012 8:04:20 PM
Is this like sex in the city with even uglier chicks?
4/16/2012 8:06:40 PM
No sex in the city was sex in the city with uglier chicks. At least these girls have youth going for them.
4/16/2012 8:09:36 PM
Really, really good.
4/16/2012 9:10:18 PM
4/16/2012 11:05:13 PM
I didnt watch it but watched Tiny Furniture.I know too many people like this for me to enjoy this show.
4/17/2012 8:05:03 AM
^^I definitely know that; it wouldn't even make sense for everyone to be an engineer. I'm not sure how you got there at all from what I said. That is a big jump to make. We're talking about a character who is two years out of college and obviously hasn't made much if any attempt to make money on her own but is still mad that her parents aren't going to keep paying for everything. In addition to that, when confronted with the fact that she was nearly too broke to eat, McDonald's was still scoffed at as a job opportunity. There is a huge gap from that versus someone having to be an engineer lol.I also wasn't solely talking about her either. What about the guy she hooked up with? He's sure not being anyone's slave and being his own man...while living off money from his grandma . Or the girl that told Hannah to just go back to her parents, tell them she's an "artist" and ask them to continue to keep giving her money.Like I said, I thought the show was entertaining, and I'll watch it again, but I'm not sure how you missed that entire episode being full of the stereotypical complaints about our generation. The only argument you could make is whether it was trying to be relatable or mocking. I'm guessing it is a bit of both and is skewed by the individual watching. [Edited on April 17, 2012 at 8:15 AM. I lolled at how awkward that sex scene was.
4/17/2012 9:02:20 AM
4/17/2012 10:12:53 AM
^Yeah, I mean I get that that guy's just being funny, but that's a pretty dumb complaint of the show. I mean, the show is dealing with the very thing that he's accusing it of (nepotism/trust-fund lifestyle), and that is made clear from the very first scene of the show. So I don't get the hatred.I thought the pilot was pretty good, I enjoyed it. This was my favorite line I think:
4/17/2012 10:28:06 AM
Yeah, no. I mean, it was a pretty good pilot.
4/18/2012 8:32:33 AM
The purpose of this show is to encourage misogyny. And who wants to watch a show where every chick is fat??
4/19/2012 2:35:06 AM
^^^^yes, I'm sure the incredibly famous, hollywood-clout-having dollhouse photographer Laurie Simmons's name helped Lena Dunham sell scripts and make films. NEPOTISM NEPOTISM NEPOTISM
4/19/2012 3:52:50 AM
the whining about this show is pretty pathetic
4/19/2012 2:54:02 PM
yesalso
4/19/2012 3:41:25 PM
i saw that. talk about butthurt.dude it's not like you have some unique band name.
4/19/2012 4:00:46 PM
Chris Owens is definitely being really whiny there, but those Smiths and Simpsons tweets are funny.
4/19/2012 4:47:56 PM
those tweets are hilariously pathetic and I actually enjoy his music.
4/19/2012 4:49:35 PM
he goes on to kind of blow off his own tweets as not mad or serious and just quick musings.at one point he says something like "why do people keep saying i'm mad." I love picturing people on twitter saying "U mad???" and him not getting it.but yeah pretty lame.I hadn't thought about that band for months, until this show happened. so if anything it's good publicity.
4/19/2012 4:52:36 PM
maybe if both were named Girlzzzzzz
4/19/2012 5:00:05 PM
I'm following that guy on FB...not quite sure why
4/19/2012 5:01:46 PM
Original title was "Grimes."
4/19/2012 7:20:33 PM
#balls
4/19/2012 9:28:05 PM
how dare she draw from her life experiences while writing a show
4/19/2012 11:26:00 PM
holy fuck this show is so good
4/22/2012 11:59:52 PM
ya great episodepre- and post- title sex scenes were perfect
4/23/2012 12:00:45 AM
there has never been a show like thisever
4/23/2012 12:03:51 AM
seems like sex and the city, but for poor people....am i missing something?
4/23/2012 10:15:20 AM
If by poor you mean more realistic
4/23/2012 10:51:15 AM
so, I couldn't get past the first 15 minutes I just couldn't take that girl complaining anymore. and I couldn't care less about someone's parents cutting them off, so that probably had something to do with it. Maybe I will attempt the 2nd episode to see if it gets better.
4/23/2012 11:50:20 AM
4/23/2012 5:39:08 PM
the main character is an unbearably neurotic, ungrateful cunt that deserves to have awful sex with a guy who doesn't love her. ^^ and this was the second ep.
4/23/2012 5:41:49 PM
I watched the first 10 minutes. Was not impressed
