I have one speaker that is very quiet in my jeep. Balance and fade are normal and the connection seems ok. What to do?Anyone know of a reputable audio shop or want to make some $$$ to fix. [Edited on March 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Reason : Edit]

Just hook up another speaker to test it? Your current speaker have be blown. Or look for wiring interference.

after following ^this advice first, try this:sounds to me like you have a dead short in the wiring for that speaker. check the terminals first. make sure there isn't a single strand of wire between the two. if nothing found there pull the head unit and run a wire straight from the head unit to the speaker.

is the speaker driven by an amp or the hu?

Thanks. I pulled all the connections from the amp to the speakers and cleaned them up and reconnected, one must have been loose. Everything works now.

What model Jeep? The older Cherokees (not Grand) had issues with the front speaker wires breaking in the door jam.
