Hello,

Gf has a 2005 ford focus which has some decently loud ticking (faintly audible in the car with doors closed). Sounds like top end,.

Does the duratech need valve adjustments?

Try running some fuel cleaner. Probably the injectors. If that doesn't help, let us know. I recommend Seafoam.

^ had a guy freak out when i walked out of an auto store with some seafoam one time. i'd already put in half the bottle or something so i stopped. didn't notice any problems after, but the dude went on about how it screwed up some truck he had or something. just fwiw, i know jack about it otherwise.

I had a similar problem that turned out to be a wrist pin..
