reynolda/WFU: malay restaurant, order something malaysiancountry club/peacehaven/jonestown area: Little richards if you can, if the line is too long go to east coast wings across the street.downtown: lots of places, hutch and harris is good if you're not on a budgethanes mall: new place called Newk's where Fuddruckers used to be, if they have ultimate crab soup get that.North side: Dairi-O's, their hot dogs are better than PB's imo. East winston: Kermit's, their hot dogs are about as good as PB's. Baptist Hospital/Ardmore: Mario's Pizza, or PB's if you want a hot dog[Edited on February 24, 2012 at 10:26 AM. Reason : d]

BTTT need lunch and dinner/bar suggestions. Headed to a conference in downtown Winston for the week. Staying at the Marriott and will be there three nights. Nothing really expensive. Have wheels but especially for evening things would prioritize places I can walk.Thoughts on Small Batch Beer? It is right across the street from hotel and convention center so I can see that being a busy spot.

Went to Bib's last time I was in town. It was actually a really decent lunch spot. They served beer too which was a plus.
10/12/2015 10:17:07 AM
I have not been to Small Batch but it seems like a pretty cool place. For evening drinks and small plates I always recommend Tate's. It's right downtown on 4th street.

We have an event Thursday at the Millenium Center with music by The Dickens Band, but if that isn't interesting I might end up at Small Batch that day as well.
10/12/2015 1:04:15 PM
Cool, let me know the places you go to. Downtown is 1000x better than it was 10 years ago, so I'm told (I've only been here for a little over 2 years).
10/13/2015 7:44:33 AM
Bib's has awesome smoked wings for lunch. Finnegans Wake has pretty decent pub food. Jeepin4x4 met his future wife there...oh wait you dropped the ball on that one.
10/13/2015 10:53:21 AM
Oh, Krankies has great coffee, and they just completed an expansion to serve reasonably priced breakfast & lunch
10/13/2015 12:22:56 PM

10/14/2015 10:48:16 PM
Got sick as shit this afternoon and missed the shindig at the Millennium Center. Might hit Skippy's on the way out of town tomorrow. Any comparison between Trolley Dogs and Sup Dogs, as I have both on Franklin?
10/15/2015 9:05:07 PM
Skippy's was damn good. Got an all the way and a Chicago.
