I find it hard to believe that it is taking you 6 days to deliver a piece of priority mail from Raleigh to Charlotte.

Those motherless fucks absolutely DESTROYED a package I sent home to myself from overseas--like, it sounded like a baby rattle when I picked it up. Then, even though I had insurance on it, they wouldn't pay a cent on it because they couldn't verify the value of the contents (I didn't have the receipt, and it wasn't the sort of thing they could just look up on Amazon.com or whatever).

I explained to them that it shouldn't fucking matter what the value of the contents were; I paid an insurance premium for X-amount of coverage, and they completely demolished the item. Tried 2 different post offices; no luck.

That's been a few years ago; I have not shipped anything with USPS ever since, and I never will. I mail letters with them, but that's it. Fuck USPS; when they finally go under it will be good riddance.

I have a friend that is in the Reserves and works for the post office delivering mail. With both of those jobs, he makes more per year than I do......and is pretty much set for life when he retires (with both military and USPS pensions). Dude has his G.E.D.

He just volunteered for his 3rd deployment to the Middle East (this time 6 months in Kuwait....a cake walk) and he will get $40k tax free, plus have his cushy USPS job waiting for him when he gets back. Double-dipping in the Federal wallet FTW.

I am not hating on him by any means though. In fact, I am pretty jealous that he figured out a way to make a nearly 6-figure income consisting of jobs where he pretty much just sits around all the time.

Don't think I've ever had a bad experience with USPS. Never a damaged package. Never a lost letter (from my end, at least).

I don't understand how the USPS is still around.... the only thing most people mail are bills, packages, cards and advertisements. Bills are being paid more and more online, and UPS and FEDEX will mail packages for cheaper...

I'd love to dissolve the whole thing, but a lot of people think that's not realistic.

The U.S. Postal Service has received electronic notification from our Automated Postal Center (APC) in RALEIGH, NC 27606 on January 08, 2012 to expect your shipment for mailing.

For ups, fedex, and usps that would usually be correct. However with usps's notoriously slow updates that could be still in transit somewhere. Most times for me (when I use usps priority) it shows that statement, no change for a day or two, then only changes when it was delivered.

yeah, that's what i've grown accustomed to when dealing with USPS as well. but a ~180 mile trip for a Certified Mail package taking more than 4 days is absurd.

forgot USPS is closed for famous black guy day. so day 9 will be tomorrow.

So yeah, my package finally arrived on Saturday. I watched the bitch just open her door and drop it in the middle of my driveway (like she has done in the past). She couldn't even get her lazy ass out of the car and put it on my porch.

I have filed a complaint with my local post office, I am sure they will address it immediately....

A package that shipped Dec 16 via USPS arrived at my home on January 12th. No, I didn't not select the 1 month or less delivery option.

at least it's not uncommon. USPS has always been the slowest shipping company when I order online but i just assumed a p2p package the size of a letter wouldn't be an issue.

I ship in excess of 1000 packages a year with USPS and have had very few problems. I love to see you guys complain though, cause its people like who who the post office really cares about.

it's listed as Certified on the tracker. and if that means you need signature confirmation i'm going to rage.

also, I have another package being shipped via USPS from Amazon that supposedly left today with target delivery on Friday. If this one arrives first i'm going to double rage.
