Somewhere fun? Im not sure where to get the hotel bc i don't want to hang out around the airport. Want a hotel near bars. Was looking at the downtown/ uptown market center area perhaps

Uptown is a real cool area, Deep Ellum is pretty neat as well, not sure if there are many hotels there though

dallas can be expensive as shit, but they have nice places. you need to look in uptown if you want to have a good time.

living in houston, i want what i cannot have.

when i moved here i was all "whatabuger omnomnomnom"

now it's like... meh... although their patty melt they had in the fall was outrageous. i guess having one on every damn corner makes it less appealing too.

turns out, there's some fantastic gourmet burger joints in houston. hubcap grill, buffalo burger, sparkle, bubbas, etc.

but the allure of in-n-out is there.

I hear ya, when In and Out was first built we waited in a line of cars for like 45 minutes to get some but then were incredibly let down. It is good, just wouldn't go out of my way for it.

And there are some amazing gourmet burger places here too, Twisted Root is ridiculous and we keep finding new places with great burgers. Really only eat whataburger when on trips and whatnot.
