I can't believe they fired Neuheisel before the PAC-12 championship game. It's like the admin is saying "We know we have no shot in this game* so fuck everything we'll just hang the team out to dry and start coach shopping early".

*Perfectly true, but that's beside the point

EDIT: Ok, I missed that they're letting him coach the game. It'd be funny if he won and stuck his middle finger up at whatever box the university officials are sitting in, but that won't happen.

whoever gets A&M's spot will be thrown into the damn fire from the get go...

"Hey partner, welcome to College Station, how the fuck are you doing? Great to hear! Well, we here at A&M have a shitload of tradition and in most states a program like ours would dominate the state but you have someone better/bigger right up the road a bit so have fun with that. Oh, and you are now in the best division of the best conference, I hope you enjoy playing the last three National Champions. Also, you get Georgia too, so dont think you get a break out of division. On the bright side you do get to play Tennessee though"

depends if you mean realistic or not. If not, then there are the regular cast of regulars that fans mention for every single opening: Cowher, Gruden, Mariucci etc.

^^^^So, Georgia & Tennessee play in the SEC West now? Or are you saying they're going to play Tennessee in the SEC Championship?

TA&M will be playing the SEC West, likely USC, & one rotating East opponent each year, but thanks for showing your SEC expertise.

Freeze supposedly interviewing with Ole Miss.

Sumlin out as a candidate at UCLA (and Arizona State), be it because he wasn't interested or they wouldn't meet his terms. Looks like Texas A&M if anything for Sumlin.

Has Texas Tech definitively said they will keep Tuberville? Could Gary Patterson be holding out for the Longhorns job?

How funny would it be if Malzahn came to UNC, had 1-2 good years and took over for Mack Brown at Texas?

Fedora has be offered the UNC job apparently, but he's interviewing at A&M tomorrow. With him being a College Station native, he'd definitely take that job if it's offered.

If Fedora is off the board for UNC, do they turn to Malzahn? Holtz? Bunting?

If there is a God in this world, then UNC will end up with a bumbling idiot of a coach, and their team will wander aimlessly for 4-5 years with no bowl appearances and multiple losses to Duke (as well as State extending the streak out to 10 straight ). That program and their fans deserve probation like results even if the NCAA doesn't impose harsher sanctions.

I hope A&M offers. I don't like the idea of Fedora coaching at UNC. I'm not a big fan of them getting Holtz either, since he could hit the ground running for in-state recruiting. Malzahn doesn't really worry me as much.

I know TAMU has deep pockets, but how are they going to pay the Big 12 exit fee, Mike Sherman's buyout, and the hottest name up-and-coming coach?

Malzahn can certainly coach offense, but having heard the guy speak a few times, he just doesn't seem to have "it." No spark, no charisma, nothing that would make a recruit think "I wanna play for that guy."

Anyway, I'm somehow hoping Withers is retained.

I've never been impressed with this douche bag, so he'll fit in quite well in Chapel Hill I imagine.

A coach that is 11-2 and just won CUSA over Houston doesn't impress you? 33-19 in 4 years.

You don't like TOB, so it's not a shock.
