Format your C drive to clean off any viruses. Problem solved.

don't get snippy. Sometimes you'll get false positives on things like company intranets or websites with self-signed SSL certificates. whats the URL?

Ya this isnt a virus. Trends web blocker.Whats your browser as well as the URL, and do you run no script and adblock?

If we're talking the trend micro client from the university... I never found a whitelist setting for URLs. The only option was to right click the trend micro icon in the task bar, select unload office scan, wait a minute or so for it to close, then visit your site, then you can rerun the office scan client once you're done visiting the site.Kind of stupid and pointless to even block URLs, and considering the method I used of just turning off the virus scan it seems like that policy can actually be detrimental to any security efforts. You want to protect people/your network but you end up with the bolts so tight people opt to just uninstall or disable the antivirus. It's been a few years since I hit a blocked URL, so maybe there actually is a way to whitelist on NCSU's client.[Edited on November 26, 2011 at 12:04 AM.
