Here's the guy that allegedly likes to touch little boys:The Penn State athletic department and school administration are going to get cleaned out, and Paterno will get an asterisk next to his name.]
11/7/2011 12:10:11 PM
Cuz you a man and you like to touch little boys-Canibus
11/7/2011 12:11:53 PM
the guy could not sound creepier when that reporter went to his househe couldnt even say the accusations are false. even if he was saying "my lawyer said to say nothing"sickly blatant. this is just effed up. like a real life Law and Order SVU
11/7/2011 12:18:18 PM
dude on the right definitely has a telltale molestache.

^^The mustachioed man is Gary Schultz. The guy on the left is Jerry Sandusky, a previous assistant coach to Paterno. He retired in 1999. Sandusky is accused of molesting eight boys over a period of 15 years. He has been caught in the act by Penn State employees at least three times. He met boys through his children's charity. The guy in the middle is Tim Curley, Penn State's AD.The guy on the right is Gary Schultz, Penn State's vice president for finance and business (which I believe includes campus police).Curley and Schultz have been charged with perjury for lying about what they knew about Sandusky and when they knew it (this has been going on since 1998 or so). Here's a better article with a good timeline:http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/07/sports/ncaafootball/in-penn-states-sex-abuse-case-a-focus-on-how-paterno-reacted.html
11/7/2011 1:01:53 PM
^^thats actually a book he wrote, not a recent photoshop

11/7/2011 1:06:50 PM
^ & \/Obviously, this doesn't affect Paterno's record. What I mean by asterisk is:Deservedly or not, it's going to reflect poorly on Paterno, right at the end of his career.]
11/7/2011 1:20:01 PM
11/7/2011 1:21:28 PM
If I was Joe Pa, I'd play the "I've had alzheimers/dementia for the last 20+ years" card
11/7/2011 1:27:31 PM
i'd play the "i haven't been the real coach for 20 years" thread
11/7/2011 1:55:55 PM
^^^It'll affect his legacy in the same way that punching a Clemson player affected Woody Hayes' legacy.Actually, probably less.
11/7/2011 1:59:37 PM
it happened to us too guys. Diving coach for like 30 years was a rapist or something iirc, came out when I was at State (98-2003)
11/7/2011 2:04:33 PM
just saw this......despicable.
11/7/2011 2:17:15 PM
They are saying Sandusky still had access to the weight room/etc as of last week. This whole story is disgusting.
11/7/2011 3:37:08 PM
11/7/2011 4:38:35 PM
Assuming all this is true (and it would be one hell of a frame-up if not) then Paterno needs to resign. If it was described to him as what it was (the rape of a child by a former associate in a facility he controls) and all he did was "pass the buck" there is absolutely no excuse.Maybe that's not what it was described to him as. But I have a hell of a hard time believing he was completely in the dark about it. Though considering he has stood for integrity in the game for pretty much his entire career, it kind of doesn't make sense...
11/7/2011 5:26:17 PM
Was it actual rape? All I've been reading is naked showers and handjobs, which, while deplorable in their own right, don't begin to approach the level of actual penile insertion, if in fact that was the case.
11/7/2011 5:29:01 PM
^, This article isn't clear on exactly what was going on when the graduate assistant reported the sexual assault.
11/7/2011 5:40:44 PM
sad that JoePa is going out like thisbut if all this shit is true it's the right thing to do
11/7/2011 8:14:22 PM
^he needs to get butch on the phone.
11/7/2011 9:33:45 PM
I read somewhere that the shower incident, witnessed by a graduate asst, was Sandesky having butt sex with the 10 year old. It is pretty f'ing unbelievable that this was able to go on so long.I do think arresting those two guys for not reporting him is a bit extreme. They can't be the only people who could have done something about this and didn't. [Edited on November 7, 2011 at 10:18 PM. Reason : ?]
11/7/2011 10:15:04 PM
^ By virtue of their positions at Penn State, Curley and Shultz are required by law to report possible sexual abuse. But, there were other people:
11/7/2011 10:40:38 PM
meh. paterno is a big boy. he should have known after blatant silence up the entire chain of command. i understand not trying to undermine your boss (the AD) but shit. molesting kids??? you gotta ring the bell on this type of shit

The grad student should be under scrutiny as well[Edited on November 8, 2011 at 9:46 AM. Reason : why would you go to JoePa and not the popo?]
11/8/2011 9:46:13 AM
^ Reeks of a cover up. "Hey, I know you played here, but I also know what you saw, and could go public with, here let us offer you a coaching position to keep you quiet."
11/8/2011 9:57:47 AM
This was sickening to read about.Front page of the Harrisburg Patriot-News:http://www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/hr.asp?fpVname=PA_PN&ref_pge=lst
11/8/2011 10:28:23 AM
bye bye Penn State, I cant imagine recruits will want to be coming in during this sort of investigation, and when JoePa inevitably steps down who the hell is going to want to coach there. Not only will they have to step into the shadow of a legend, but will have this filth circling around the program for years.
11/8/2011 11:09:54 AM
Anyone who knew about even one incident and didn't report it to police is culpable.. including paterno and the grad assistant. If i saw a rape occurring at work, the first call I make is not my boss, but fucking 911.
11/8/2011 11:16:35 AM
After you came, of course
11/8/2011 11:17:58 AM
i dont understand why any of these witnesses didn't try to confront sandusky or break up the acts in progress. at the janitor who thought he could lose his job over reporting child rape
11/8/2011 11:19:00 AM
is Paterno quitting at 12:20? press conference coming up
11/8/2011 11:25:33 AM
To be fair, you don't know what the culture in the Penn St. athletic department might be like.It could be that child rape was just the latest in a series of bad things that have been covered up over the years. It took TEN YEARS for this to see the light of day, imagine what lesser sins are still buried at University Park. That said, it doesn't really matter what the culture is at Penn State. If you see a goddam child getting raped you stop it and call the cops. The only choice in that situation is whether or not the raper is going to be conscious when the cops arrive.[Edited on November 8, 2011 at 11:28 AM. Reason : fear is a hell of a thing, but it's no excuse]
11/8/2011 11:25:52 AM
how can this happen so many times to so many different people...and NONE of the victims speak up?i'm astounded by cases like this.
11/8/2011 11:26:03 AM
^ One of the victim's mother reported it to campus police in 1998.
11/8/2011 11:28:15 AM
11/8/2011 11:28:25 AM
^^Sorry, haven't followed the case... and then what? What was the result of it being reported in 1998? I can't imagine that noting was done and that the mother just forgot about it.
11/8/2011 11:43:29 AM
1) i can't read about this anymore2) this is beyond bad for penn state football, holy shit
