Anyone have one or know anyone that does?found a killer deal....got a 8k lbs trailer ill be towing over twice a week and need a work truck....

got a friend who is a Ford tech... I think the general consensus is that the 6.4 isn't as bad as the 6.0 engines but an old 7.3 will have a lot less problems even with more miles.

Diesels that don't need computers to run... run longer. But as far as diesels that do need computers to run... its ok.

ive been looking for a 7.3 6 speed since the autos arent the best and i cannot get myself to pay over 17k for a 10 yr old truck with 150k miles on it...found a deal on this 08 with 100k for $16k and thought it would be better.....

there's a guy who makes a ton of very informative videos on youtube called powerstroke doctor or something. the 06 6.0 is a good motor as they used short head bolts to help the problem and with an SCT programmer you effectively eliminate it as you can turn off the EGR. that's the motor I ended up with. the 7.3's I came across were generally overpriced. 6.4's were out of my price range
