I can come pick it up, if need be. Looking for ~1/2 cord or less.
10/10/2011 2:00:03 PM
I, too, would like to buy a 1/2 cord of wood.
10/10/2011 2:17:35 PM
try the "free" section on CL...they always have firewood
10/10/2011 2:37:01 PM
I'd rather not have to fight with the CL free stuff zombiesAnd most of those are cut/pick/haul your own, which I don't care to do; nor can I without a chainsaw
10/10/2011 3:35:38 PM
And while I'm at it... I'll need some fireplace tools as well.
10/10/2011 4:09:50 PM
there are several guys on CL who will deliver that quantity and stack it for a decent price
10/10/2011 4:29:53 PM
Head home. I heard your parents still need help cleaning up after the hurricane.
10/10/2011 4:40:41 PM
haha, too bad we didn't have any trees down. Do you think sheds burn nicely in fireplaces?^^I know; but I figured I try here first. Many on CL are charging much more than I'm willing to pay; and I doubt they'll stack it for me (live in an apartment == long way to stack)
10/10/2011 4:43:29 PM
i'd bring you a load, but i don't even have enough to get myself through the entire winter yetfirewood either requires a shit pile of time and some semi-expensive equipment or some very expensive equipment and still a fair amount of time. when you consider that, the cheaper guys on CL don't seem that bad, but some are certainly overpriced.
10/10/2011 5:39:29 PM
Sorry..didn't know you were looking for people to give you cut and split firewood for free...
10/10/2011 10:09:42 PM
Ah yes, because the thread says WFF and NOT WTB. Thanks, slick.
10/11/2011 8:56:44 AM
owned
10/11/2011 10:04:04 AM
I have a chainsaw - but no means of transporting wood.I help you cut if you help me haul some to my place too?CL free stuff zombies we could be...
10/11/2011 10:29:49 AM
bring me a load and you can borrow my 6x12 trailer. 2' expanded metal sides. perfect for hauling firewood.
10/11/2011 11:18:11 AM
10/11/2011 3:43:30 PM
when someone is asking $160 for 1/2 cord, I say it's overpriced. Some are more reasonable, $45-$80.
10/11/2011 3:44:19 PM
http://raleigh.craigslist.org/zip/2642580198.htmlIf you could use a workout, all you need is a splitting maul
10/11/2011 4:21:37 PM
pine is not good for indoor fireplace flues
10/11/2011 4:22:43 PM
I guess youve got a point
10/11/2011 4:24:32 PM
missed the posts way up. while i wouldn't mind helping to cut & haul, I'm not sure I'd have time for all of that anytime soon.may just try on CL
10/11/2011 5:57:31 PM
Lucky1 used to sell firewood. idk what happened to him and bethaleigh.
10/12/2011 6:29:20 AM
yeh, I know he used to sell, but I figured those two were gone... haven't seen one post in a long time
10/12/2011 8:23:16 AM
yeah, i kinda just made the post so i'd have a quicker way to see when the last time they posted was i might do one of those cut/haul your own for free off CL around the beginning of November. i've got all the equipment, so if you just wanna supply some manual labor we could haul the first half cord to your place.
10/12/2011 8:36:49 AM
I hate people on CL that don't use the standard unit of measure for wood. Either say what you're selling in cords or gtfo
10/12/2011 12:47:49 PM
^^ NRR - I'd be willing to provide some labor - hit me up when you do it!
10/12/2011 1:08:41 PM
^^most folks on there don't know what a cord really is anyway^i'll let you know when/if i do it
10/12/2011 1:44:18 PM
keep me in the loop, tooif I can't provide labor/transport, I'll certainly pay for yours
10/12/2011 2:06:35 PM
I saw a pickup truck loaded with firewood and a sign saying Firewood For Sale on Ellis Rd in Durham. Get chu some dawg.
10/13/2011 4:56:12 PM
I'd rather not lose my life over some wood.
10/14/2011 8:44:14 AM
Many a men have in the past
10/14/2011 9:58:37 AM
I'd be willing to coordinate a couple of people, some axes and a hauling vehicle to and from the wood site/people's houses. PM me if you're interested and/or have a vehicle that can haul.
