http://www.fusedfilm.com/2011/09/tv-review-how-i-met-your-mother-season-seven-premiere/Spoliers in the link.Thought it started out strong. I'm a fan of Nora but still not sure if that's who Barney marries.
9/19/2011 11:21:44 PM
Good start to the season. I'm a big fan of the return of Ted's ex
9/19/2011 11:38:25 PM
oh sweet! I'm only on season 5 atm.
9/19/2011 11:40:45 PM
Im on the last episodes of Season 1.Is there anywhere OTHER than netflix by DVD to view them?
9/20/2011 12:50:16 AM
Isn't it syndicated somewhere?I know HIMYM has always done a lot of this but it feels like they're stopping and flashing back every two minutes with "well let me tell you about tthiiiiissss..." If it's the same amount as usual, I guess I've just had enough of it because it really irritates me now.My biggest problem with the show is that I don't find it all that funny anymore. It's still watchable but it feels like every episode gets serious and emotional now. But I don't even find Barney all that funny anymore. It's basically the Marshall show for me and once they get in deep with the pregnant/father thing, I think he'll end up being less funny too.
9/20/2011 8:20:25 AM
thought last nights two episodes were really good. loved beercules and playing edward 40 hands
9/20/2011 8:29:28 AM
FX and Lifetime both syndicate HIMYM in the evening. decent episodes. i'm pretty much in it for the long haul at this point, whether good or bad.
9/20/2011 8:48:58 AM
Beercules was phenomenal. The dance scene with Barney and Robin was awful and felt forced and out of place. Other than that, I enjoyed the episode. Anyone else notice in the second "sweeping declaration" flash forward that Barney was wearing the ducky tie and Marshall was wearing a shirt that said Marshall + Steph? Also, HD was not friendly to Martin short.
9/20/2011 9:25:16 AM
^I, too, noticed the ducky tie and the shirt. Barney looked to have a very disturbed look on his face too. Also, it appears that Victoria gained a few pounds while she was away in Germany.
9/20/2011 9:30:09 AM
I mean, she makes cupcakes for a living...what do you expect?
9/20/2011 9:44:51 AM
Now I know that bitch is gonna take the last whole wheat everything bagel
9/20/2011 10:35:18 AM
Also, Robin and Lily are both starting to look pretty rough.
9/20/2011 11:42:05 AM
Lily's pushing 40 in real life, so I give her a passBut Robin looked 22 when the show started, and has somehow aged 15 years since then
9/20/2011 12:07:34 PM
Wow she's really that old? I would have pegged her a little younger than that but she does look good for her age.
9/20/2011 12:16:24 PM
Yeah, dude, American Pie was a loooooooong time ago
9/20/2011 12:20:07 PM
so was buffy... and she's only 37...[Edited on September 20, 2011 at 12:40 PM. Reason : ]
9/20/2011 12:39:05 PM
Hannigan is 37 but probably hasn't had the amount of work done tha SMG has
9/20/2011 12:47:10 PM
I love me some buffy-era SMG.Anywho, episodes were ok. About on par with the last couple seasons.
9/20/2011 12:50:22 PM
9/20/2011 11:47:26 PM
Love the episodes with Barney like that. Also, I'm not a huge fan of Victoria (physically she looks like she gained some weight) but she has such a pretty face.Robin looks like a lesbian hobo still and I hope they don't really explore this Barney/Ted/Robin thing too much, but it looks like they will.
9/26/2011 9:16:04 PM
^ agreed. The Barney stuff was good but I'm not looking forward to more Robin/Ted/Barney stuff even though it was inevitable they were going back there
9/26/2011 9:17:00 PM
lol, glad to see the return of the "Bang Bang Bangity Bang" song. Also, Marshall still has one slap in the slap bet left, right?
9/27/2011 12:17:52 AM
I think so. Maybe even 2 slaps left. I don't remember for sure
9/27/2011 11:28:01 AM
9/27/2011 12:59:50 PM
The director is a woman. She is far too lenient on how she lets robin and lilly look on screen. I don't know how they can go back and watch the show and be happy with the way they look. I know if I was on screen all the time I would be even more neurotic about the way I look. People want to see T&A on television.

9/27/2011 1:24:55 PM
ironic how lilly was preggers last season (I think it was last season) & they had to try & hide it...now she's preggers on the show so their going to have to make her look like it.
9/29/2011 1:48:09 PM
Robin looks pretty bad. She was wearing a pajama shirt and highwaters for the last episode. Also, I thought Victoria looked like she had lost weight, not gained it.
9/29/2011 1:50:56 PM
she's suppose to be canadian... I think that's how they actually age like... lol
9/29/2011 2:08:38 PM
And she actually is Canadian in real life, plus she had a baby too didn't she?
9/29/2011 2:21:10 PM
pretty corny last night but Barney the hairdresser was funny
10/4/2011 6:38:54 AM
Didn't like last night's episode much at all, except for Barney's bimbo delivery systems. Robin is supposed to be a confident woman who carries around a Desert Eagle pistol, not some pining chick sobbing under a table. I'm tired of the Barney/Robin (and for that matter Ted/Robin) drama, wish they'd let it go already. I'm guessing that Barney and Robin end up together since grown up Ted doesn't refer to Nora as "Aunt Nora." I dunno. I do hope I'm wrong and he winds up with Nora.
10/4/2011 8:31:15 AM
I hate when they do shit like alter Lily's voice/face and make it all cartoon-y
10/4/2011 8:46:43 AM
the best part of that episode was the picture from 2007 with C3PO, R2D2, and the robot Luke's Uncle almost bought from the Jawas
10/5/2011 9:55:33 AM
Wasn't my favorite episode, but I think they are trying to 'push' the show towards actually revealing who their mother is so I think Robin plays a part in that. That said, my prediction is that Ted has been talking to Barney's kids the whole time, thus talking about their mother, while Ted marries Robin. I just don't think Ted marries someone we haven't met yet
10/5/2011 11:22:09 AM
Why would the kids be living in Ted's house if they were Barney's kids then? In the episode where Ted bought that house it revealed that it was the same house that they grew up in.
10/5/2011 12:03:44 PM
10/5/2011 12:28:43 PM
^definitely. Otherwise, why would they be even hinting at a Ted/Robin re-visit?
10/5/2011 2:48:50 PM
Haven't they already said that Ted/Robin is a no-go? I recall an episode with drawings from the kids with "Aunt Robin," I'm just not convinced that he's talking to Barney's kids[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 3:40 PM. Reason : maybe I should've re-read the posts...]
10/5/2011 3:37:33 PM
I hate Kal Penn.
10/6/2011 1:36:07 AM
Robin's getting on my nerves. And good lord she looks horrible these days.

^Also, he said he saw the ankle of the mother in that one girl's apartment and that she was in the econ class in which he mistakenly taught. They have hand fed us every bit of information we need to know that the mother is not Robin, or any of these girls that we've met in the past. To even consider that it may be is just fucking stupid.
10/6/2011 6:46:00 PM
i was so excited to see victoria back, i wanted to cry. i've always always always wanted her to be the mother
10/6/2011 9:00:11 PM
I lol'ed at Marshall's comment about season 2 of FNL
10/11/2011 9:45:11 AM
Kids are definitely not Barney's btw. In last night's episode he clearly said "Your uncle Barney" to them.
10/11/2011 9:47:37 AM
Question...it has been a long time since I've seen the episode where Ted meets Victoria. I know that at first they were trying not to tell each other their real names and used fake names. I sort of remember that someone "outed" Ted's name just after that and then did she just tell him her name was Victoria since his got blurted out or how did that work?I'm just thinking that it is possible Victoria is the mom only if Victoria isn't really her name and she gave Ted a fake name and played along the whole time (and she is the character this would work with the easiest). The only reason I bring that up is that the kids would already know their mom's name, so the whole "omg is it THIS girl finally?" thing doesn't work on them as well as it does the audience since we don't know her name. And I also couldn't remember how we/he learned her name.Someone might have even mentioned this already in the thread, and if so I'm sorry [Edited on October 11, 2011 at 10:04 AM. Reason : ]
10/11/2011 10:01:00 AM
^ according to wikipedia, this is how it went down
10/11/2011 10:06:06 AM
Thanks. That's about what I thought. So after Buttercup and Lando, when they agreed to go by first name only, it is possible she lied about her first name being Victoria. If she did in fact lie, I can't think of any other way he would have known or found out about her real first name within the context of the show (which would then obviously invalidate my theory here), and at the time she gave her "real" first name she could have still been planning on never seeing him again.I've always said from the beginning that the name is a huge flaw in the idea of the show since the kids know their mom's name. It would make sense that they would know their mom by her real name and not by the name she originally gave Ted making Victoria the perfect candidate to make the one glaring flaw not a flaw. Of course this is still sort of a left-field prediction but it's the best one I have [Edited on October 11, 2011 at 10:26 AM. Reason : ]
