Any suggestions for affordable/experienced tailors? Currently, I'm looking at tailoring for casual clothes (jeans/pants, shirts), but I may need some work done on business/formal wear a few months down the line. Clothes just don't always fit my frame that well right off the rack, so I'm looking for someone that could help me out without charging an arm and a leg.

personally, i wasn't impressed when the woman worked on my suit, but i know a bunch of other people swear they're great

I've gotten jeans hemmed at Lee's Tailors in Crabtree Valley Mall. Never had any complaints.

I've also had jeans hemmed at Sunny Cleaners on Jones Franklin. Never had any complaints with them either, but I had them try and fix a button on some jeans that had broken and after getting the jeans back, the button detached the first time I wore them. That wasn't exactly stellar.

Lee's Tailors is the best IMO. You can pay an extra dollar and it will be done in an hour.

The tailor on 70 in Garner (Ho's? maybe) is really good. We've had several things done there. He's quick and fairly cheap. He even did several alterations of a formal dress for my wife in 2 days at half the price of David's. If the alterations don't work right, he'll fix them for free.

It's in the strip mall across the side street from Food Lion.

Absolutely Wang's for basic stuff...she's done a number of basic alterations for me and i've been satisfied with them all. When it came time to alter a suit i went to Lee's in Crabtree and was completely satisfied with the work there (shortened sleeves, shortened pants, took in waist)

I go to Lee's Taylor's on Western blvd in the two story business suite in the Plaza West Shopping center. It's next to the Hunter's Glenn Apt complex, Warlock's Tattoo, Planet Fitness, Sonic, Dollar Tree, and Harris Teeter. Yeah. That area.

I 2nd Wang's for the cheap stuff (button, tears, hems, ect), don't let them touch anything too nice. Also 2nd Lee's @ Crabtree, they did a great job on a suit of mine two years ago. They were pricey but you don't want a shitty tailor job on a suit.

So I had about $100 in tailoring done a few weeks ago... and they fucked it up/did a bad job. I'm still walking on my pants. I talked to an employee (language barrier) and didn't get far in trying to get this fixed (something about the pants being measured, I paid for them and left, etc.)

Anywho... anyone know a good tailor around west Raleigh (RBC center area) that could work with me on this? I don't want to pay another $100 for this...
