Anyone ever go to the clinic on campus for physical therapy? How is it? It's either going to be that or driving to the VA

I've never been personally, but I know plenty of people who have been and I've never heard any complaints. YMMV

I went. They weren't amazing, but they definitely did the trick.I went about 8 years ago, so it's prob a bit different now. Definitely worth checking out. It's prob your most convenient option.

I used it. They were good, knew their stuff, etc. My PT person is gone now, but she was great. I think Robby is still there (was a few years ago) and he's pretty good too.

I went about 8 or so years ago and HATED it. The lady PT I had was so mean and wouldn't listen to me (she would just tell me to stop complaining and do my exercises). In the end my injury got worse because it was misdiagnosed as a bad sprain when it was actually a broken bone.

I went there for my post-ACL surgery. I did that shit two times a week for a whole semester plus a month or two. Robbe (its a weird spelling) is awesome and definitely knows his stuff, and will have a lot of input for your doctor visits and help you break down what the doc says. He also worked with bmel while I was a patient of his for her shoulder issues. Very positive guy. They have been/were supposed to be doing a ton of renovations to the building, expanding it and building a lot more space and infrastructure to work with. I'd say its a very good place to go, especially since you'll be on campus anyway. A Wolfline bus stops there, making it easier to get to.Just make sure your insurance covers it. The student health insurance (BCBS) covers physical therapy 100%.

Has anyone else been there in the past couple of years that can comment on Physical Therapy at the Student Health Center? I know they are covered 100% if you have the student health insurance (Pearce & Pearce) (BCBS) and will file any other insurance. They are as qualified as any other physical therapist outside of State?

^I was there from ~October 2009 to May 2010. See ^^If I for some very strange reason had to go through PT again and was on campus most of my days, I wouldn't hesitate to go to NCSU Physical TherapyIts in the Student Health Center btw[Edited on August 23, 2011 at 9:01 AM. Reason : lkj]

Is the Student Health Insurance any good? I might get that since it'll be free (GI Bill covers it)

Its Blue Cross Blue Shield...I had no complaints. I can't remember if that or my Tricare paid for my surgery, but I think it was like a $15k surgery and I [my parents ] only paid like a grand or so out of pocket for it. Again, it fully covers Physical Therapy at the Student Health Center, and that alone is worth it.

yeah, I really liked Robbe and he knew his shit. My shoulder went from little to no movement to almost back to normal. Then I jacked it up again while hiking and we had to start over. The thing I liked most is he made sure I wasn't getting too sore or in pain. I kind of wish I still went their so I could get surgery and have him fix me 100%.
