the samba client for linux lets you connect linux to a windows share
the samba server for linux lets you connect windows to linux shares

tbqh you're better off wiping out the linux and installing windows and just using homegroups

I don't want to have to install anything on the linux box.
It's not mine so I can't just wipe it out.
