I remember when the whole "premium" thing started up, there was an argument as to how to really bring money in for the site owners. I suggested putting ads up. I was shot down by several people, telling me that internet ads do not make any money. Well now, not only does this site currently have ads for local businesses like Hibachi Xpress and University House, but bigger companies like AllPosters, Half.com, and Columbia House. I would guess that this means the ads are making this site some money (well, maybe not profiting, but you get my point), or am I assuming too much?

I think the add system was something that J set up "for fun" if you will. I dont think made it thinking that TWW would pull in a pile of dough from it. Me mentioned once that it would be good to show potential employers that he had implemented it.

or maybe as an anoyance to get ppl to want premium.

he shoudl implement a background noise that is just a repeating sound of teeth scraping down a blackboard, and make all text on the site blinking...

these "features" will go away if you get premium
