yeah with our current budget the EXACT thing we need to add is a money-pit luxury construction project. [Edited on August 1, 2011 at 9:47 PM. Reason : too strong. my bad]

^^^thanks for letting us know they were black. That was definitely a necessary detail, fucking racist. Anyone who sees "three black guys get on with no ticket" deserves to get their ass WHOOPED. Not really deserves but I can't be mad about someone who spreads vile racism getting thier ass whooped. [Edited on August 1, 2011 at 10:11 PM. Reason : racism is more of a problem than people getting thier asses whooped on trains]

well considering our light rail will run from the center of Cary to downtown Raleigh, I think Charlotte will be able to maintain its lead in assaults on the light rail.

I rode the rail a good bit in Charlotte and never had a bad experience. Great for heading uptown to sporting events. Don't have to worry about parking, don't have to worry about having too much to drink (unless, like most people, you actually have to drive once you get off the train).Which reminds me of a story... A few years ago, my gf and I were going to take the train uptown for some sporting event, probably a preseason football game. We drove from Ballantyne to the 2nd to last train stop to park (Sharon West). After the game, we get crammed back on the train like Tokyo at rush hour. I tell my gf, "Don't worry, by the time we get halfway back to our station, most of these people will be gone and the last 10 minutes of the ride will be in comfort." Well, in the 12 stops between uptown and our station, a grand total of 5 people got off our car. And at our stop, about 5 more get off with us. Damn near every person on that train parked all the way down at the I-485 station. Kind of surprised me at the time.
