Anyone here ever set up a business in a tax haven? I know there are some legitimate ways to do so, and I am working with someone based in Anguilla right now, but I just wanted to see if my understanding was really correct and see if anyone has ever run in to any problems before with doing so.The revenue I will be bringing in through this offshore business is all google adsense revenue(no tangible goods or services sold in the US), and the checks will be sent directly there to the bank, deposited automatically, and then invested on behalf of the offshore corp in equities, real estate, and bonds.

I'm working on a similar situation.I have to switch to a S class corp from being a C corp...and I'm thinking of doing this exact same thing....

I have a guy that I have contacted and spoke to, who lives in the bahamas ... (pretty sure he's a US Citizen)...He just sets up the accounts for people for $1600 (in Anguilla), opens the bank accounts, coordinates all that jazz ... and then you pay about $1100 per year for renewal. That's definitely better than the 15k I am paying in taxes each year, so its easily worth it to me ... but I just wanted to see if anyone here has done this before with Adsense specifically ... long shot, I know.

Just some websites that make adsense revenue.

barbados is a great place to do this. you can setup what is called an international business corporation and pay ~2% tax in barbados and there are treaties to every other meaningful country.[Edited on August 13, 2011 at 7:59 PM. Reason : ^sounds like porn]
