I want an Asus Transformer. How much would TWW pay for this thing? It was a FP slickdeal from last year and due to a factory fuck up there's an i5 instead of an i3.Model: NV5927U Intel Core i5-430M 2.27GHz, 1066MHz frontside bus, 3MB L2 cache 15.6" LED-backlit (1366x768) HD WS w/ Ultrabright Technology 320GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm) 4GB DDR3 Memory Blu-ray Disc-enabled DVD?RW/CD-RW drive Built-in wireless LAN (802.11b/g/n) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Webcam with mic 6-Cell Battery Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit 5.8 lbs, 1.5" ThinComparison of i3 vs i5http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=47663,43537Mega Threadhttp://slickdeals.net/permadeal/30145/gateway-nv5927u-laptop-intel-core-i3330m-2.13ghz-15.6-ledbacklit-1366x768-ultrabright-lcd-4gb-ddr3-320gb-hdd-dvdrw-bluray-intel-gma-hd-webcam-wifi-6cell-battery-windows-7-premium-500?&page=3Archived Threadhttp://archive.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=2123146Original Threadhttp://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1832293Technical threadhttp://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1837741

think i remember this one...from best buy? i *almost* bought one
7/13/2011 3:38:02 PM
I have this exact laptop, got the free wireless all in one machine with it too
7/13/2011 10:25:15 PM
I was hoping because of the i5 it has somewhat held its value.
7/14/2011 12:35:42 AM
You could easily get a few hundred for that.
7/14/2011 1:51:15 AM
Its certainly a nice laptop, even going by current standards. A Blu-Ray drive coupled with HDMI out is rare except in the very top of the line machines. I'd say you could get at least $350-400 for it on Craigslist, perhaps more if you're lucky.
7/14/2011 3:35:15 AM
Perfect. I would take 400 in a second. Looks like I may have to hit up CL soon.
7/14/2011 3:53:05 AM
CL definitely the way to go. I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if someone gave you 450.
7/14/2011 7:53:03 AM
I'll start at $250
7/14/2011 6:05:08 PM
hahaha"i know you can get $400 plus for the thing, but lemme offer $250 for it"
7/14/2011 7:13:09 PM
These are selling for $400-$450 new

^ Better specs in a few areas, but doesn't have a Blu-Ray drive . . . .
7/15/2011 9:51:28 PM
^^That's a pretty far stretch considering that you aren't walking out of staples with that laptop for much less than $700. I felt I was pretty honest with my post and actually had slightly less in mind for the value of the laptop than people seem to have suggested. But, I had no idea that the website I used to purchase OP laptop would still be posting deals a year later and that the price of technology would continue to follow trends so thank you for that.

What it's worth and what you can get on CL are unrelated.

graphic card suckshard drive sucksgateway brand/build suckswebcam sucks? ( what is the MP ? )for 400-450 I can wait a couple of months and get a much better laptop on slickdeals. But, if you need it now, 350-400 would be ok . I wouldn't pay 450 though.
7/18/2011 1:45:56 PM
I wouldn't pay 450 either. It just wouldn't surprise me if someone on CL would.

Of course I end up breaking the power button/hinge last night.
7/19/2011 1:28:19 PM
that sucks man. The hinge on my lenovo idea pad broke ( there was an issue with all of these particular series ) and it was just out of the period they had set where they would repair it for free. They wanted to charge me around $200 to ship/fix/ship back. Hopefully you have a better warranty ? You should also check to see if this is a common issue and see if you can get it fixed for free.

check ebay for parts, if you havent already
