i do it

I intend to save them. And still have most of them in various boxes here and there. Have no idea what to do with them. I also save concert or any other cool event I go to.[Edited on July 9, 2011 at 3:08 PM. Reason : No]
7/9/2011 3:08:32 PM
i used to save all the NC State ones but I've only kept ones that had some significance to me now ... especially since keeping some shit you printed off the computer is stupidmainly pin them on this bulletin board I have on the wall though[Edited on July 9, 2011 at 3:11 PM. Reason : ]

You should see if the guys from American Pickers want them!!
7/9/2011 3:11:48 PM
i get pissed when they tear off a corner or something at the gate, assholes (lookin at you, clemson kid)]
7/9/2011 3:14:04 PM
i've got a bunch of stubs from NCAA regional finals and the final four they are on display
7/9/2011 3:54:57 PM
what team were you going to watch play?
7/9/2011 4:41:17 PM
Maryland for the final fourfor the regional finals, they were held in Greensboro one year and Charlotte the next. i didn't go to watch any team in particular, just went with my dad for the experience. of course the Greensboro Coliseum was flooded with Carolina dicks, that's when they had Carter and Jamison.
7/9/2011 4:49:26 PM
oh ok, cool
7/9/2011 4:50:46 PM
which maryland F4 did you go to? i was at the 01 one
7/9/2011 4:52:27 PM
i do it.they're in a little book.
7/9/2011 4:53:12 PM
I have a lot just chilling in a box. At the time, it seems like a cool thing to do if its a big win or something like that...but I rarely ever look at, or even think about them.
7/9/2011 4:56:24 PM
i went to the 2002 final in Atlanta. it was awesome because i was a huge UMD fan, and after the heartbreak of watching them lose to Duke the year before, they pulled it out against IU. it's the only team i'm a fan of that has ever won a championship in my lifetime.well not so much a UMD fan now, but growing up in Baltimore i was a UMD homer til i went to State.
7/9/2011 4:57:18 PM
the ticketmaster ones are a little harder to care about though
7/9/2011 5:00:26 PM
the ones i have are all NCAA issued, with whatever art they had for that year's tourney and the location/dates and seat information etc.
7/9/2011 5:02:04 PM
oh yeah the final four/regional stuff would be a real ticketmy first NHL game was in the Eastern conference finals (game 5) in 2002 ... toronto won the game...but it was a ticketmaster stub and i know damn sure i dont still have that one
7/9/2011 5:04:24 PM
i don't understand why they can't at least make more of an effort to make it somewhat aesthetically pleasing. it looks like 80s copy art.
7/9/2011 5:06:15 PM
part of why I like to just scalp tix at events, usually they are real tickets like season ticket holders have
7/9/2011 5:08:47 PM
and you can haggle them for lower prices. i always have a good time doing that.
7/9/2011 5:14:22 PM
that's Slave Famous' specialtyit's the only reason i keep him around

I save all of my ticket stubs. My Dad has always done it and I followed suit. I hate when the ticket takers rip the corners too. Lately, most events I've been to do the scanner thing so it isn't really an issue. I've got 4 separate frames with all of my UF tickets in them (one for each season that I've been a student here). I've also got a bigger frame with the UF tickets and some of my NCSU tickets from before 2007 in them. Not sure what I will do with the various other ticket stubs.[Edited on July 9, 2011 at 5:28 PM. I've got mine from the Gator Bowl game against ND. Also saved them from the winter olympics. Like to frame them with a picture or poster from the event.
7/9/2011 5:57:18 PM
I have the tickets from when we beat #2 Florida State and #1 Duke but those are my only tickets from school.I've saved a few glossy tickets to box seats for State, Hurricanes, and Appalachian games.
7/9/2011 6:57:24 PM
ha i've kept pretty much every sort of ticket i've gotten since the first LOTR movie came out in theaters not really sure why. got a bit of packrat in me i guess. (also a little ocd, so they're in chronological order in the aforementioned book)

^Thanks! The 4 smaller frames were really easy to do (that is about the height of my creative ability though.) They were just made using cheap diploma frames from Wally World, glue dots, and construction paper. Pretty simple after you figure out how to position the tickets. I just wanted to do something that with the tickets that wasn't permanent rather than having them sit in a box or picture book. I'd like to put them all into a big frame together at some point with pictures and newspaper/magazine clippings, but we'll see. My Dad actually made the bigger frame for me as a Christmas present in 2007. Williams-Brice Stadium is the background for it because the picture is from the 1999 game against UF and you can see my family and I in the stands. That dollar bill is from the 1997 UF/FSU game and was the first real bet I ever made (and won, 32-29.) Notice the NCSU/FSU tickets from the 2006 game. The App State/Michigan headline is because one of my sisters went to school there. As an aside, I wish NCSU had done true ticket stubs the whole time I was there. I hate those print off tickets.[Edited on July 10, 2011 at 3:05 AM. Reason : ::::]

I used to, then I got hurricanes season tickets and most of the games were insignificant. I keep important games or historical achievements.... And big events... like the all star game and the Stanley Cup finals.
