perfectly safe. i'll say this they are a hell of a lot safer than the scissor jack that comes with the vehicle. fire depts. use air bags to support structural collapses along with overturned cars. only difference is fire engines have onboard air.

I wouldn't use it to get under the car or anything, but I wouldn't have any qualms about using it to get some jack stands under the car or to change a tire.
